  • Tip for anyone not aware: for portion sizes and stuff like that, I use this book:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Carbs-Cals-Protein-Fat-Carbohydrate/dp/0956443079

It shows in pictures with very little text what you are eating, and shows it on certain plates and bowls and stuff, makes me laugh though as even biscuits are shown on a 16cm plate with a knife and fork!

    Good Morning.

I missed the weigh in yesterday. I was running around all day and didn't even sit down until bed time.

Anyway I am pleased announce a 2lb loss.
  • Morning

Welldone and hugs to all who weighed in, whether you lost, STS or gained.

I didn't weigh in yesterday, have had a rubbish week and have probably gained. So instead of getting down with myself, had a long think of what I've been doing wrong and will start today on a more positive note (after giving myself a kick up the rear).

Have given up on the C 2 5k, for the second time, even though I'd love to be able to run, watching the GNR last weekend was so inspiring. Running aggrevates an old back and hip injury, and the physio has advised I need to improve my core stability and try something else. Maybe cycling?? (I have a bike, purchased 3yrs ago and have only ridden it once- not veyr MSE :rotfl:) So today I will be looking for cycle challenges and will get the said bike out of the shed for a good clean and oil.

    Todays plan
    B: cereal and fruit
    L: ?jacket potato with tuna/sardines
D: hm sausage casserole, carrots, brocolli & small amount of mash
S: fruit & yoghurt, maybe one hm biscuit in front of tele tonight

Ex: dog walking, aiming for 6 miles min today and 30 min core stability dvd.

Hope everyone has a happy day

D - fajhitas without the wraps, chicken and lots of chopped peppers & corgettes, baby corn with 50g boiled rice

exercise - walking - will report back later how far I get. :D

since people are being uber healthy and posting meal plans on here I shall attempt to follow suit, lets see

b: (at the moment) tea, 5 gingersnap biscuits left in tub :rotfl: and a ski yoghurt. [edit: total 353 cals]

l: bottle of water, 2 cheese salad rolls, handful of pringles, chocolate doughnut

d: 2 glasses rose wine, homemade steak and kidney pie (my mums recipe), potatoes, fresh greens, chocolate doughnut

s: 50g salted peanuts, sachet of highlights hot chocolate, 2 glasses diet pepsi.

    happy saturday x

[edit: edits are above in the text - to reflect what I really did eat today so I can keep an accurate check. will research + add calories tomorrow sometime and post the total.]

Hi and welcome to you both

Theatregirl- thanks for the link to the book- that exactly what I need as I always 'fool' myself on protion sizes etc! Might try and wait it out for the price to come down though :rotfl:

I still have a swollen toothache head this morning :o but it is going down so I have done 'the Shred' this morning Level 3 but I followed the lower impact version so not to upset tooth too much-im now on day 24 of 30 but not enough days left to finish it before i go on hols :o. Oh well can still get a couple more in :)

Ive done really bad on my swimming challege this time round im only on about half the lengths i was last time round but I guess I have been taking time to 'Shred'

Have a good day all - ill report eats later

You're very welcome. Its definitely worth the price I have to say, I bought mine a few months ago and it was £8 or so then...can't believe how the price has shot up.

Well done everyone who lost :D

    Yesterday's food...

B-cup of tea, strawberries with yogurt and a sprinkling of grape nuts (312 cals)
L-some melba toasts with some raw baby sweetcorn (176)
S-two choc covered rice cakes (110)
S-glass of champagne at wedding fair (133)
D-chicken and mushroom pasta at Zizzis (674)
S-cup of tea once I got home (32)
    Total cals - 1437

I know not such a healthy, balanced day, but I knew I was going to be eating out and I tried to save my calories. I know that's not too healthy so I won't do it very often! She says....apart from the fact that I am about to do it today as well! Sister is coming over for home made pizza and I know that is going to be HUGELY calorific, so I am having a light breakfast and lunch to allow for it...will still stay in my calories and will get back to more balanced meals tomorrow.

Have done no exercise all week so going to make a real effort to do some today and tomorrow.

I still seem to be keeping off the 8lbs I have lost in the last fortnight. I know lots of it was probably water. But I still like the number!
