    :)

:rotfl::rotfl: Well I do have my hidden talents!
Just back from making the most of the sunshine and a good 90 mins walk around a National Trust property with the poocher. I managed to resist the home made icecream but did succumb to a packet of crisps that I've only eaten half of so far (that will change).
Tea time soon, must be good so I can negate the crisps. Hopefully all the walking has already done that.
  • Oh dear ive been abit naughty today :o

Me and OH decided to abandon all chores and get the train to England's 2nd city today !! Which is not too far away

So although I have walked to the train station and back (approx 40mins) plus walked a good few miles around the city here is what I have consumed- if you are sensitive to over indulgence please look away now :rotfl:

    B:Museli s/s milk
Brunch : 2 rasers bacon, 2 wholemeal toast & butter, 1/2 tin beans, scrambled eggs
Lunch/tea: Ate out at a Thai restuarant and shared with OH- red Thai curry, King Prawn Choo Chee, jasmine rice, plain noodles plus 2 x beers each
S: Pint of shandy in a pub on the way back to train station :rotfl:

May have a piece of toast or something later........

It has been a spendy and not very diet friendly day but me & OH have had a lovely time and sometimes life is for enjoying :D

Hope everyone has had a lovely day too :)

    200g Chapati Flour
    Approx 100ml water
    PInch of Salt

Put flour in bowl add salt
gradually add water until dough like
Knead for a couple of mins on a floured surface (until not sticky)
Rest in a bowl covered with a tea towel for 1/2 hour
Cut into 6 and roll into balls
On a floured surface roll out with rolling pin into thin circle shapes
Dry fry in a pan until one side looks set (underneath is brown in places and dough starts to bubble)
Turn over and dry fry other side for approx 10-15 seconds
Place in a tea towel to keep warm whilst cooking others

These can be frozen we do it all the time

    HTH :)

Thank you ssm, looks too easy, and economical, to be true! Mind you if anyone can mess something up I can, but will certainly give it a go. Just got to find chapati flour, do I get it in the usual supermarkets?

Change of plan for tea, I enjoyed the dinner time salad so much I had similar, but without the chicken, for tea. Hg tomatoes, cucumber beetroot and potatoes (4 tiny new ones) and a few prawns. All fresh and very yum :)
  • Evening

Right, this week I have lost 329 pounds - pounds money that is! New laptop is mine - when I get 15 yr old son to help me set it up!

Weight loss is 0 - STS this week - must do better next week althought I do feel thinner.

Today - not too bad (if you skip the visit to Costa this morning!)

b- cereal & skim milk, OJ
    s- lemon tart, diet pepsi
    l- duck wrap, crisps
d- lamb & potato bake - Nigella recipe cooked by 13 yr old son - couldn't be nicer!

e- dog walk this morning & 4mile walk this afternoon - geocaching out with the family and the pooch-boy!

No other snacks so not too bad and good day planned for tomorrow!
  • savesummore I've made chappatis before with just normal plain flour too - so if you can't find any chappati flour, plain flour will do! And I've gotten about 10 from just one cup of flour, so works out very economical!

I do really like chappatis, but the problem is I love them when they're all fresh, not so much when they're re-heated, so I wind up eating too many when they're first cooked!
  • savesummore sounds like you and OH had a lovely day yesterday, you are right sometimes life is for enjoying :D

Thanks for the Chapati recipe, sounds simple enough even for a useless cook like me to have a go at :o

  • Morning all! Hope the hangover isn't too bad Savesummore? Mine vary, I either feel so sick I can't eat at all or I have to eat everything I can get my hands on.

Went to the comedy thing last night and was an angel and only had 1 diet coke - I did have 2 choc digestives when I got home though - it was that or a takeaway so it could have been worse.

Done a dog walk and a 5K run this morning and will do another dog walk later for at least 30 mins. I'm hungry today - you know you have those days when you just want to eat? Will do my best to control it.
Hope everyone has a good day.
