Sorry I haven't been around to post for a while. OH is working away atm & I'm spending weekdays making the most of the freedom and weekends visiting him. Not going till later today so I've just spent an hour batch cooking healthy meals for him despite not being remotely interested in cooking for myself! Have been eating out far too much over the last month but somehow I've managed to lose 2kg since the start of the challenge. I think it helps that I've been eating really simple meals when I have to cook for myself - usually hm pizza or veggies&pasta with pesto - and no extra biccies or cakes or high cal garnishes & extras.
  • Just back from swimming and shopping and so glad I went - feel stretched out and energised, burnt off quite a lot of cals too, so a win win situation.
Done the food shopping and I really have no excuse this week for going off the rails - lots of fruit, plenty of healthy lunches and planned teas. Only 2lbs to go to my 20lb target so no slacking now.....

Fancied a bagel for lunch so had a toasted cinnamon bagel with chocolate philadelphia spread thinly over it - yummy! Only around 300 cals for the lot - will have a bit of fruit later as nibbles and then probably a low cal curry for tea.

Right the house won't hoover itself ...........

  • savesummore sounds like a good evening ;)

Well my day pretty much went to plan yesterday, no one came and swept me off my feet or out to dinner, so no change there then :D

    Plans for today

    B - weetbic & sk milk
L - BBQ (have limited myself to one of everything :p )
D -salad or fruit & l/f yoghurt (if I'm even hungry)

Exercise - managed 40 mins yesterday late afternoon but by gum it were hot. Have been for a short walk with neighbours dog this morning (we are pet sitting for the weekend) but if I'm going to walk for longer I will leave it until about 7pm when its cooled down.

    Have a lovely day x

  • Savesummore - curry and lager - a girl after my own heart! I'm an easily pleased kind of girl too - no champagne and oysters for me:rotfl:

Skint - no prince charmings here either!

Just been for a 5k run - found it quite hard this morning - think it was a combination of no breakfast (naughty!), a big swim yesterday and the heat - never mind I did it and felt better for it afterwards. I glimpsed myself in some shop windows as I ran past and had to smile because I looked like a runner - don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that!:D

The diet went well yesterday - no naughties - lets hope it will be the same again today.
Taken the dog out for 20 mins or so earlier and will do about 45 mins at the water park later if its not too hot for him.

Make the most of the sun - its back to drizzle tomorrow....

Id rather have beer and curry too :rotfl:like I say true class me :rotfl:

Am shattered today, me & OH went on an hours walk down the canal blackberry picking, I have also spent couple hours tidying garage and garden-empting pots washing them down for next year, clearing veg patch of all the dead veg- this year has been our worst in 5 yrs-too much rain, weeding, diiging, mowing etc etc, scrubbed bathroom, ironed and hoovered

    Today:

B:2 x wholemeal toast, butter 1/2 tin beans
    S: orange, mini ice lolly
    L: bowl of museli
S: later I plan to have some fruit and greek yog
T: slow roasted pork with roasted veg- new potatos, carrots, parsnips, red onions and OH has just made some focaccia bread- so a slice or two of that :D

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday

  • Hello All

Havn't been around for a few weeks, life has been too hectic and the healthy eating has taken a back burner. Just havn't had the time to log on and post and the laptop broke in the middle of it all.
Trying to get back in control so off in a minute to meal plan for the week and go healthy shopping tomorrow. Then its work for the rest of the week. Know that I've lost and gained since my last official weigh in, so hoping by Friday I will be a STS.

It has been so nice catching up with the posts over the past hour or so. Will catch up again tomorrow.

Hope everyone has had a sunny weekend.

  • I'm back!! Had a really nice 6 days in Cardiff - looked up the wrong hotel, ours didn't have a gym or swimming pool, but I did get lots of walking done! Next time I won't go away with the OH though, it's not good for the waistline - I had lots of lovely ideas to eat healthy, but 'he's hungry' and of course, when he orders a fry up, chips, popcorn, whatever, all good intentions go our the window (none of these places have a healthy option either).

I'm supposed to stay away from the scales for a few weeks, which isn't a bad thing... I'm dying for a healthy home cooked meal from tomorrow!

Im back too and feeling quite despondent about how my body feels atm. Im not making good food choices either so from tomorrow Im back to regular eating and trying to limit the sweeties and cakes which I would gladly eat in place of a meal. I think it is post holiday blues:(
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
