Good Luck Welsh Woofer:T:T:T
Im off to Center Parcs next week which will involve lots of yummy food. I will try and be careful:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So will be back in time for the next challenge and will really focus so I can look stunning for christmas :eek:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I have only managed that twice before in the past 6 months.
A confidence boost for my running as sometimes feels like I'm not getting anywhere!
Hope everyone has a great Sunday x0 -

Well done.
Before I has my 3yo I used to love cycling and running. Most weekend I could be found doing an event somewhere. since I have put on weight I'm finding it really hard to get back into. I have now enrolled my 10yo help. We are on week 2 of couch to 5k.0 -
Omg first trip to gym for 8 days. Rather han 45kg for adductor /abductors decided should go down to 40. Easy peasy so back up to 45 for repeat set. Pride comes before a fall. My thighs are certainly letting me know about it. Hobble hobble...MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

I'm so, been going to the gym for 3 months and I manage to 5/7.5/10kg on the various pieces of equipment in my routine. They all started at 2.5/5 though, so I'll keep pushing (and pulling, and treading, and rowing...) . Treadmill, am supposed to do 10 mins at 3kmh which drives me mad, so do 15 at 5...makes me puff a bit but my DF was only 7 years older than I am now when he died of same disease so I'm determined to beat him, both in years and cantankerousness, and boy could he be cantankerous!!
. All above with pt's approval, of course. Have just taken 2 days off and lungs not at all happy so will treat them to a good workout this morning to try and clear them.
B - spicy, fruity porridge, sk milk
D - chicken drumsticks, leeks, courgette, parsnip, broad beans, gravy. Apple for pud, if I need one after that lot!
T - crackerbread w/rf cream cheese, vegemite
S - melon, nana, apricot, nectarine
E - 1 hour gym
Have a sunny Sunday0 -
Jogs panting into the room......
I DID IT!!! My first 5K race is over - hurrah! I managed to run all the way, took 1 min off my best practice time and finished in the middle of the pack (not the puffing tailender I thought I'd be!).:j:j
Now my time will never be brilliant, I'm not the right shape for a runner (big hips, short legs, sound gorgeous don't I!) but I'm focussing on doing the distance and keeping going for as long as I can not breaking world records;) Onwards and upwards!
The next goal is 6K on a training run, should be quite doable as I've done 5.2K already, just another couple of minutes to plod.
Don't tell anyone but I actually quite enjoyed it, running used to be thought of as torture and only to be endured when being chased by a lion (not that you get many of those in South Manchester:rotfl:).
Back to work tomorrow:eek:. I have done loads of work to prepare but there's always more that could have been done, at least its INSET tomorrow to find my feet a bit before the screaming hordes arrive on Tuesday (and that's just the 6th form!).
The rest of the day will be spent doing a little bit of work, taking the dog for a nice long walk somewhere, he only had a 15 min stroll this morning as I didn't want to wear out my legs before the run!), popping to the supermarket for some packed lunch bits and general faffing about.
Hope everyone else had a good day!
PS Thanks for all of your good wishes!0 -
*skulks back in* please can I come back?
I have fallen off the wagon big time, but need to get back on asap! That's if you'll let me
WelshWoofer - well done, that's fantastic :j I'm back at work too tomorrow, don't want to go...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
