Packing for my holiday - time to see if I can still fit into my clothes after eating British for a whole 6 days :rotfl:

Pain of a Dr though; over about 4 months I've been passed between 3 specialists, with 3 different diagnoses, and 3 lots of tests all coming back clear, and I'm constantly told 'there is nothing wrong'. Typically, just before I go off, today they've decided there is something wrong. I've been given antibiotics which will upset my stomach, leave me really tired and also mean I can't drink for 9 days. Did I mention it's my birthday this week?

Have a good week of weight losses everyone!!

Yay! Looked up the hotel, and it has a gym and swimming pool (plush!) so no excuses to not exercise this week!
  • Well done WelshWoofer and anyone who has lost weight since I went MIA :o:o Had a bad weekend last weekend for eating/drinking and have only just summoned up the courage to come back! :o

HOWEVER I went to the gym today and weighed myself (still don't have scales!) and I weighed 8st 11, which is 5 pounds less than 2 weeks ago :D! I am in utter shock as I have just eaten healthily without dieting and have exercised but no more than normal! When I weighed myself then, it was the first time that I'd had an overweight BMI (although my weight has been creeping up for a couple of years) and I felt so rubbish. Feel really relieved that I'm 'normal weight' again.

That said, it's really increased my motivation to lose the last 7-10 that I'd like which will hopefully get me down a dress size to where I was 3 years ago, and I also really want to generally tone up and improve my upper body and core strength.

B - Two a*da wheat bisks with whole milk and a tsp of sugar
    S - Apple
L - Leftover HM vegetable lasagne with a side salad (just leaves dressed in a little olive oil and vinegar)
D - plan is to have tomato and pepper pasta with olives and pine nuts, plus a side salad. Hopefully avoid any more snacks but there is some chocolate in which is calling to me :o

E - very good day today. Had a major workout at the gym - 15 mins stair machine, 15 mins bike, 10 mins rowing machine. Also tried out the resistance/weight machines for the first time and did two of the arms ones, a shoulder one and a leg one (don't know the names :o) for 12 reps each at admittedly low weights (just to get used to them) plus 50 sit ups, a very measly 5 press ups as I am rubbish at them, and then 24 lengths in the pool. Tired now :rotfl:

    Evening All

I'm just back from work and thought I'd post whilst my meal cooks. It was all prepared yesterday and I just had to put it in the oven for 20 minutes when I got in. I could have microwaved it but thought I'd cook it conventionally.

I was really efficient this morning before work (didn't start till 11.30). I called in at the Co-Op on my way home after my run and found a load of cream reduced to 50p a pot. I bought a load and made a lb of butter when I got in, which I could then use in my sandwiches. I've another lot to make tonight and I also used some for my HM chocolate mousse.

B: Muesli with extra seeds and buttermillk.
L: Chicken roll. Raspberries with yoghurt
D: Vegetable gratin - green beans and courgettes from the garden cooked with squashy tomatoes, left over carrot, garlic and onions and topped with cheese. HM chocolate mousse.
Snack: HM ginger biscuit with my coffee.

Exercise: 4 mile run. 2.5 miles of walking.

MC, How annoying is that timing but good if they've started to sort out your problem for you.

It's my birthday this week too! I'm so lucky as I've been given a ticket to go to the paralympic wheelchair tennis! I'm going with my very healthy best friend so I know I won't be tempted by "bad" food choices!

    Evening all!
Back to work today, but it was an INSET so not too painful, took a packed lunch and so managed to stick to the diet apart from a shortbread biscuit that has been counted into my cals.

Just had a nice salad for tea, it helps that its a good warm day.
Haven't done any running or swimming today, giving the old legs a break but I have done a 30 min stroll/walk in the park with the dog after school and a brisk 30 min walk after tea - dog should be tired now!

On the back of my run yesterday I have signed up for the Manchester 10K run next year. Its 2 months after the Cardiff one I'm doing for charity so will be an incentive to carry on and maybe run a better time - get me the runner! (well more of a jogger/trotter really!)

The struggle this week will be sticking to the diet now I'm back at work and making myself exercise after a long day at work. But there's only 3 lbs to go to my target of 20lbs so I can't give up now, if you see me wavering give me a great big kick up the bum.;)
