    Morning all!
Its finally stopped raining:j Yesterday was awful, it literally poured down from lunchtime until I went to bed. Hopefully it will be a bit better today, I hate being cooped up.

Not a lot planned for today, just swimming this morning and some dogwalking. Will do some schoolwork later too. May go to the cinema just to get out of the house.

Foodwise, not sure about what I'm eating yet - will have a forrage in the fridge and see what's going out of date first. Its a gourmet experience in my house:rotfl:

ETA - 30 min dog walk and 50 lengths swimming done, the sun has finally come out so wil go for a hour long walk later with the dog if its lasts

Ow ow ow ow ow! My arm! It feels stiff and then some today! I can't really bend my right arm through more than 90 degrees, and the muscles around my elbow feel a bit solid/swollen today. I'll maybe tone down the workout next time :rotfl: my left arm feels perfectly fine, slightly stiff and no more. Well, it's ruled out food shopping today, and probably preparing food, so I'll dig something out the freezer:

    B: toast with olive spread
    L: Not decided yet
C: pasta bolognese or veggie burger from the freezer
E: I'll go for a walk later if it's not raining like yesterday

Didn't get out of bed in time for breakfast:
L: ham roll with a vegetable grill (very hungry)
    D: Pasta bolognese now
I've no fruit left now, so going to brave food shopping and will take a trolley round

    Pretty good day today

    B - weetbics skimmed milk

L - 1 slice grilled bacon (fat removed) egg & mushrooms in 1 cal spray, "fried potatoes" (1 jacket potato in microwave then slice up and finish off in spray of 1 cal in frying pan -shared between 2 of us), 2 tbsp baked beans

D - Chicken breast, jacket potato, veg and gravy

S - banana "ice cream" - have been meaning to make this for ages... and its gorgeous. 3 ripe bananas sliced up and frozen on plate for 2 hours. Then blitzed in blender and poured into tub with lid. Back in freezer for 2 hours. 2 tablespoons of this will easily replace mini ice creams I have been eating (which are 130 cal 5.8g sat fat) and "hit the spot" when I want a "sweet fix"

Exercise - 55 mins brisk walk in the sun :D (supposed to be rain tomorrow)

    Evening All

It's been a busy day as we had an Open Day at work and hordes of visitors.

B/L Omelette filled with spinach, beetroot leaves, onion thinnings, garlic, mushrooms and cheese.
D: Chicken and mushrooms in a galicky paprika cream sauce with courgette ribbons and green beans (both HG). HM chocolate mousse.
Snack: 2 pieces of HM flapjack

Exercise: Just a walk to the Co-Op and back as been too busy for anything else.

    Hi

I've just been reading through this thread - not every page though! I skipped along about every tenth page but you have all done so well and have such a positive attitude, I wondered if I could join you?

Do I have to tell someone in particular and can I join part way through a challenge?

I've been trying to lose weight and have had some sucess using the good old ELMM way but it would be good to have some company!

    Hi Sezza,

You can join at any stage, I think we have 4-5 weeks left of the current challenge, so just post what you want to lose in that time and Ragz will add you to the list. We weigh in on Friday and just highlight your loss in red!

I've just run my first ever full 5K without stopping!!!:j:j:j

Well, it was actually 5.2K and the time won't rival Mo Farrah but I did it. I was talking to my hairdresser in the park with the dogs this morning (he runs) and he said that its all about mental attitude. If you think you can't do it you won't, he said that if you can run 80% of the way you can run the whole thing you just need to believe you can. I tried it and guess what it works!!

I'm so pleased with myself (hope nobody minds me celebrating?) as only 7 or 8 weeks ago I didn't even own a proper pair of trainers and wouldn't/couldn't run. I'm a 40 year old woman that hadn't really exercised for at least 5 years (apart from dog walking) and now I swim a mile twice a week and am doing my first proper 5K race on Sunday - if I can do it anyone can.

My brain is starting to feel a bit like I've been on a diet for so long, and haven't seen huge results on the scales, so I keep finding myself going off to have a few bad things

After baking my housemates birthday cake last week, I had milk left (ended up as cheese sauce for 3 meals), and I had 3 eggs left to use up. If I'd planned, I'd have made toad-in-the-hole and it would have ended at 1-2 bad meals. But I didn't plan, so did the only thing I could think to do with 3 eggs - hello cake! Might as well confess to it really.

Well, today will be like this:
    B: 2 oatcakes
L: ham+cream cheese toastie with side salad
D: veggie burger (no roll) with small baked spud and lots of veg
S: nutty cinnamon and chocolate slice. Probably 2. Probably 250 cals a slice.

I have my holiday next week now (and birthday too), which I think would be disastrous with my current frame of mind (and the bad influence that is my OH), but I thankfully have my hypno session on Thur before I go, and hope that will sort me out. I also have bought a picnic hamper to take with me (OH doesn't know about this yet) so we don't have to go to restaurants every night. I'm preparing myself for the battle ahead with the OH, as he won't appreciate this, but at the same time, he spends half his time complaining about the beer gut forming around his middle and the 38inch jeans he just had to buy :p

Welshwoofer do you mind sharing what type of meals you had on holiday that didn't cause you to gain?

P.s. Well done Welshwoofer - just noticed your 5k success! That's really fantastic!!
