    Afternoon all :)

Got my blood results from last week this morning, and no sign of gestational diabetes! :j Really chuffed as GP went on about it when I informed them of my pregnancy and convinced me that I'd definitely develop it as my BMI was over 30. Think trying to stick to a relatively healthy balanced diet has made a big difference, and I actually feel slimmer (apart from the bump!) now than before, although I still weigh the same as when I fell pg. DH said on Saturday that my back looked slimmer (actually, he said my back fat had less creases in, tactless boy :o:mad:)

    Meals for today:
Breakfast: half a granola bar (at work, runnign late for MW first thing)
LuncH: cheese salad sandwich, grapes, malteasers
Snack: 2x digestives and a glass of milk
Dinner: HM beef&lentil chilli baked in 2x tortilla wraps topped with passata and 1oz cheese. Dollop of RF creme fraiche and sweet chilli sauce. Green beans.

    exercise: swimming (45 mins)

    Oooops!
Thought I'd treat myself to a big bag of crisps (used to have these all of the time) for doing the run and it being bank holiday. Think my tastes have changed as they tasted greasy and fatty and I didn't really enjoy them at all. Won't be doing that again in a hurry, its taken me over my cals for the day by about 200 cals too, not pleased with myself now.

I too was a crisp o holic. I also found they just taste fatty now - in fact I opened a bag over the weekend and ate half and my jack russel had the rest!

good news about the diabetes. I am sorry but I did lol about your OH comment - its exactly the kind of thing my OH would say. He keeps commenting about my big bottom and means well but still uses big and bottom in the same sentence!! :o

Good luck - my holiday is in 3 weeks and I am hoping (unrealistically) to lose 6lbs. I am hoping by setting a high target I WILL BE STRICT with myself. Having said that I have just had a terrible bank holiday eating weekend. :o

Luckily I took it in the sense that he meant it, and not how it came out of his mouth :rotfl:

    Afternoon all :)

Just back from a coach tour of northern England/Edinburgh and oh my, it's cold oop norf! The Tattoo was amazing, Scarborough quite a nice seaside town but how the North Sea wind doth blow, and Harrogate and York are definites to visit again, (with long johns on ;)). I won't even start to list what we ate, the hotel food was mediocre so DGD2 and I went to the local foody area where we ate in Starbucks, TGI Fri., etc. Now just back from Mr M where I bought a couple of bags of fresh fruit, have missed my fruit and veg over the last few days :(

    For today -

    B - red grapefruit
L - plain omelette with grilled rasher of lean back bacon, tomato
D - Jacket potato with yogurt and prawns, stir-fried mange touts, fine beans, petit pois
S - Melon, nana, satsuma, grapes
    E - 45 mins gym, mowed lawn, vac'd/polished downstairs

Have a sunny afternoon (innit luverly n warm darn sarf!) :)

It's quite nice pulling food out the freezer now and finding that my 'just enough' portions from several weeks ago are now more like 'just enough for 2'.

    B: Toast with olive spread
L: ham salad sandwich, 2 funsize apples, 2 plums
D: HM chilli con carne with rice, piece of cake
    S: 6 Ritz crackers
E: planning 10-20 mins of various toning exercises when dinner's gone down. (Tuesday is my designated day off from the gym, any other day off is just laziness)
