Vegetarian cottage pie
Vegetarian lasagneI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Chelle, I agree with WW - your days eating doesn't look like a lot. Was this a one off day, or a typical day?
My day has been typical since starting the diet. I am a great grazer/snacker but not a meal person.
I am also the only vegetarian in the house (also do not eat eggs or dairy), and am not hungry when I do dinner for the children.
I work 3 evenings, so leave home at 530, by the time I've walked the dogs, done dinner for the children had a shower to get ready for work, I don't eat dinner!
I usually always have breakfast which is weetabix, but the rest is hit and miss!
I am trying to eat more though, as I know it doesn't do me any good to starve myself.0 -
Chelle can you make yourself pasta or cous cous so you can cook enough for a few days, and help yourself to a spoonful here and there/grab some quickly before work? Also carrot sticks (or similar), nuts (if you're not allergic) and dried fruit (good if you need a sugar kick) are good for grazing at, and building in some nutrition.
WW try spinnach and cottage cheese cannelloni, veggie Bolognese, and fried rice (all sorts of veg, eggs optional), they all freeze really well. You can also pre-dice onions, aubergine, courgettes and peppers to save prep time at a later date.0 -
Evening All
It's much colder here today and I've had to put a jumper on sitting here at the computer when I got in from work.
Welsh Woofer A meal I find handy to just heat up is stuffed panckaes. I make a lovely cheese and spinach one topped with cheese that I can just stick in the oven or microwave and it will be ready fairly quickly. I also have done vegetables of various kinds in a cheese sauce that again heat up quickly. You can make several variations and put them into separate dishes that you can then just fish out of the freezer first thing. Another good dish I've done recently is stuffed aubergine - I microwave it first then spread on some red onion marmalade and top with cheese. It only takes about 10 minutes in the oven or under the grill then.
B: None
L: (Pack up at work) Prawn mayonnaise salad (mixed leaves, tiny onions, beetroot, mixed seeds, cucumber and cherry tomatoes). Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.Smoked haddock with mashed swede, peas and julienned carrots. HM chocolate mousse.
Exercise: Just a walk to work and back and one to the supermarket and back before work so only about 2 miles in total.

I did buy small bags of dry fruit/nuts yesterday to snack on, I did have one today.
Not a huge pasta or cous cous fan and couldn't eat them cold. But am going to try carrot sticks, keep them in the fridge to nibble on.
I am quite hungry now, just got in from work, but know it is the wrong time to eat so am resisting.
I have also manage to find vegan cheese (soya) in tesco, so am going to have crackers and cheese, as that was something I quite often had before work.
Thanks again0 -
Morning all yawn, thank you for the welcomes.
Here's what i had yesterday
B- Prawn and marie rose sauce sandwich with the lighter form of mayo and butter-tho really didn't need the butter(the prawns were just calling to me as i opened the fridge)

T- roasted mediterian veg with a bit of olive oil and gammon(with all fat chopped off)
snacks- 2 glasses of wine, two oat cakes 1 with jam and one with almond butter, stick of celery, few raisans, 2 cups of tea.

Cocalls - I thought I was up early!
Been up since 6.30am , woke up at 6 and then just couldn't go back to sleep.
Might as well make the most of the temporary respite from the rain and get out and walk the dog. Will then make myself go for a run (haven't been for a few days, legs were too tired after shopping yesterday), do some food shopping and then a big wodge of housework.
Thank you to everyone for the suggestions about batch cooking for when I'm back in work. I'll get stuck in next week.
Right, better get going before the sun disappears again. Hope everyone has a skinny day!0 -
Morning all
Heavy rain here today, typical bank holiday weather.
Planning an easy day today as start nightshifts tonight, will do bit of shopping and sit and read my book later.
Yesterday food wise didn't quite go to plan, hubbie bought me a chocolate orange cookie, where have I been all my life to miss those?.:rotfl:Then we shared a fish shop fish and chips for dinner.
Its interesting how your tastes change, dont think we'll ever buy again, they were very greasy and gave us indegestion.
Plan for today
B: usual cereal and fruit
L: hm souphm cottage pie, new pots and veg
S: fruit
Will take porridge, fruit and a nv bar to work for my break later.
Hope everyone has a great day.
