    Morning all :D
    Please can I slink back and re-join the fold please :o
    I will be aiming for 11lb which should be realistic and will take me to 11.4. Can't believe I've crept up to 12.2 :eek:

    It starts today!!!!!!! Although I am out at a hen do tonight :o I will stick to gin &slim and meal sounded a pretty healthy option of chicken & veg.

    I really have got to do this, a few years ago I put my mind to it and lost 3 stone, I have put just over 1 back on but it's enough to be making me feel miserable about myself.

    Vix :D

    Morning all, (I don't want to put ladies in case there are fellas lurking).

    This morning I am off to get a haircut - it may not help me lose weight (I don't have that much hair) but it should help me feel a bit better about how I look. I have an interview tomorrow, and REALLY want the job, so I want to look a bit tidier.

    That was also a prime motivator when I started two weeks ago - hopefully the weight I've lost will help the interview outfit not look quite so sausages....

    I've also been buying clothes at charity shops over the last two weeks, I want to wear new things and look better - but what is it with sizes? I have bought things in about four sizes and the biggest sizes are too small and then the smaller ones fit (sometimes!).

    So my 'to shrink into' pile is now taking up an entire section of the wardrobe.... and I have about another two tops that actually fit.

    It's very annoying.

    Savesummore - I've been thinking about your swimming challenge and decided to join you (sort of). I have just over 6 weeks off for the summer holidays (teacher) and so have set myself a challenge to swim 600 lengths before I go back to school starting tomorrow. I actually finish work on Weds but will count this weekend as the start point.
    That works out as 2 sessions of 50 lengths twice a week with a few days to spare.

    Hope you don't mind me copycatting?
    I'll combine it with the Couch to 5K and the dreaded Shred and abs DVDs.

    Should be sylphlike in no time:rotfl::rotfl:

    No problems at all I find its something to aim for rather than just aimlessly (sp?) swimming up and down :rotfl:

    I might even 'race you' lol

    Thanks Savesummore! Been this morning so I'm off the mark! 50 done. 550 to go:eek:

    So that's the exercise done for the day in addition to the usual dogwalking (done 30 mins in the park this morning and will do another 40 mins or so later).

    I'm going to a bit of a gathering of teachers later celebrating the "almost end of term" at someone's house so not at all sure about food today.
    Will be good until then and see how it pans out.

    So ...
    Breakfast - go ahead type thing (90 cals)
    Lunch - some kind of salad, probably quorn, cucumber, spinach leaves, beetroot, red cabbage etc

    Need to go to get some shopping today so will have a nice stocked fridge and no excuses for naughties!

    Right, need to go and dry my hair and go shopping and then do some cleaning.

    I have tried on size 18-20 clothes that are too small :o and then size 14 that fits ??? ... cant figure it out either.....I think I shall only buy clothes with the smaller sizes 14 label and kid myself that I'm a size 14 :D

    Plans for today:

    Breakfast - bacon roll (all fat removed, no butter,wholemeal roll)
    Lunch - undecided. Maybe HM soup
    Dinner - home made tandoori chicken, plain jacket pot and salad
    Snacks - apple, melon, maybe a banana

    Exercise - 1 hour walk outside. If rain stops play I WILL dust off my treadmill ;)

    Clothes sizes are the bane of my life :mad:. I range from 12 to 18 depending on the shop, it's a known fact that M&S cut generously and the cheaper shops are skimpy but it seems sports shops follow the same irregular system. Since joining the gym I've bought size 12 and 14 trousers and size 12, 14 and 16 tops. One advantage of losing weight is I can now fit comfortably back into my (cupboard full of :o ) size 3 shoes, I've had to buy size 4 for the past couple of years. One disadvantage, I have a jewellery box of bracelets and rings that fall off my hands and fingers!

    B - F&F sk milk
    D veg curry with fusilli. Blueberries with a scoop if vanilla ice-cream
    T - Crackerbread w/marmite, salmon spread, raspberry jam
    S - melon, kiwi, apple, nana
    E - 45 mins gym

    Have a good rest of the day :)

    Yes I watched the series. It just confirmed what we all thought was happening but didn't really know. I did learn one or two things though - like the fructose thing of how it makes you want even more of it, and the psychology of larger portions. I found it very interesting - but maddening!!! Why can't we just control ourselves? Oh, well, at least I know I'm not the only one :o

    Today;
    B - F&F, yog, honey
    Tea at work
    L - scone & banana, tea
    D- Thin slice pizza with peppers, sweetcorn, ham, lettuce, coleslaw. Tea & ice cream
    Later?? Maybe toast
    2025 Fashion on the ration
    150g sock yarn = 3 coupons
    Lined trousers = 6 coupons ...total 9/66 used
    2 t-shirts = 8 coupons
    Trousers = 6 coupons ... total 23/66
    2 cardigans = 10 coupons
    Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 38/66
    Nightie = 6 coupons
    Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 49/66
