I trust the fish pie was in the freezer, not the cupboard, or those loo rolls will come in handy :D.

    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Haha GG
Nope pie indeed was from the freezer- no need for the loo roll! ;)

Been quite productive today have made 2 batches of soup for the freezer (each of which will feed me at least 3 days - mrtyo doesnt like soup much before anyone asks! )

Also made 21 mini muffins (which mrtyo does like!) some in a box in the kitchen, rest in the freezer.

Cooked up all the ingredients for sheperds pie and into the freezer so will just need defrosting and assembling one night .
And dropped a bag of stuff off to the food bank on my way into town!

    *Phew*
    tired now!

Still going okay at the shopping challenge and trying not to buy things unecessarily ... did buy easter eggs today tho £1 at sainsbobs .... have bought an extra one for us so we dont start eating the stash and then have to pay double nearer to easter!

Gonna have a hunt around the freebies board to see if there's anything exciting, but other than that no moneysaving plans till payday! sad that I get so excited about it really ... but I know you lot will understand ;)
  • Another payday gone!

    This paydays highlights as follows...
    • extra £120 in my pay packet - straight into house fund :D
    • Car poorly so even more than that straight back out of house fund :(
    • £140ish expenses to come - this will go in our hollibobs fund! :p
    • Free food with a 4 week online trial for milknmore :T
    • Still eating out of the freezer and cupboards and thinking may just make my £400 for the first quarter challenge! .. will involve being inventive and not giving into cravings! Currently have enough rice/pasta/vegetables/bread to last also some quorn mince in the freezer which can be bulked out for a few meals we may be eating some rather strange combinations come april!
    • Should get £100ish interest at the end of next month from FD saver..but I will save that for next months update!
    • Off to do a freebie hunt ... maybe tempted to sign up for the MB goodies that GG and Tilly have ; though I wouldn't be able to part with them .... :p
Have a good sunday all - not much happening here just some chilled time out with dvds and [STRIKE]chocolate[/STRIKE] healthy snacks like fruit n stuff!

  • Aw thats a shame!!- still there will probably be another one!
I have to confess I have spent £12 on magazines since payday! (one had a free book worth £8 if that counts against it?:money:)

Must look into deals/subcriptions rather than paying full price on a whim! - I have kept them and will re-read tho!

Not much else moneysaving planned - will hunt around the freebies/grabbit board at the weekend to see what I can find! Also have got the "amazon/ebay" box out so we can begin raising money again that way! 2 dvds (prob worth £3 each) and an old broken nokia so far!- we're near to making millions I tell you!! :rotfl:
  • Happy weekend all ! Hope everyone is well ;)
It's been a spendy month not sure what on! Mainly car stuff ,food and chocolate! Not good for the balance or the waistline! Yummy m and s roast for tea tonite then a run tomorrow and back on the healthy eating!
Managed a fifty pence off wine voucher, twelve quid off supermarket shop and off for dinner next week also courtesy of vouchers !
Have checked all our food stocks and tommorows plan is to draw up a meal plan to see how long I can make it last!

Just sticking you back on page one TYO:D
    February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
    MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D
    C'mon nattypants:cool:
  • Aw thanks natty!! :D
Not much of moneysaving value to report lately!!
Chunk of emergency savings has gone on getting car working - boo!! good value solution in the end, but money I wasnt planning on having to spend- still , thats what the word "emergency" in the title is I spose!!

Lots of spendy stuff with several birthdays to pay for plus leaving do's at work so seem to be giving money out left right and centre!

Balance is now £0 till payday (and *shhhh* I owe £100 back into the house fund until I get some of the money owed to me for a pressie I shelled out for.... should be all settled by end of this week tho!)

Few small pennies here and there- £8 of amazon for item sold, £24ish in expenses, still have a money pot which is half full though not counting that till its full up (shall maybe use it for pretty lovely things when we eventually buy a house- at the rate Im saving money in it lets hope it will buy something - perhaps a cushion or a teacup! :rotfl:)

Not doing badly on food budget though will need to make it stretch out to end of april or thereabouts! Its definitely getting more expensive to shop and makes me really feel for those who dont have the "luxury "of the disposeable income we do - setting a target for us is a wanting to rather than a "having to" ..shall hunt around for some more foodbank stuff at the weekend as cupboards are full to bursting!

Anyway- must get off to work before Im late, happy moneysaving all and have a good day - not long till the weekend now! :D
  • Ps In case anyone is wondering Mrtyo is all better now and getting well fed!! :)
