  • Mornin all! (just...)
Having a lazy saturday which is lovely after a busy week! on my second or is it third?... cup of tea and contemplating getting up!

In moneysaving news lots of using up cupboards and freezer stores planned over the next few weeks in time for xmas! have done pretty well on reduced bargains lately and not been too much over budget food/grocery wise (I did buy my favourite wine as it was down to £4 a bottle from over £7 so bought 2 :) ) Am going to aim for an average of £100 p/m next year for 2 of us so will see how we get on!

Still not lost 10lbs!! still am keeping up with mine and mtryos fitness kick (ignore above statement about the wine, my body is a temple - honest! ;) )

£30 on tcb to track but having looked again I think I may have messed up eligibility so if I get it will be a bonus!

2 books, one cd and dvd listed on amazon ...

just about to sort out xmas presents to see who I still have left to buy for and think about budgeting that money in somewhere!

    have a lovely weekend :)
  • ps Radish- I have a feeling mrtyo will be pretty near the 100K mark by xmas! :rotfl: I may have to feed the mortgage some money just in case! ;)

    Afternoon all!!
Been a busy old week but still tried my best to be moneysaving! ;)

Have used up meals from cupboards/freezers including using up ingredients which were about to go out of date . Lots of cake baking going on this morning for anyone worried about mrtyos starvation status! :rotfl:

Almost all xmas pressies bought and paid for! :xmastree:

Online shop with free delivery code done for this week ... have just ordered bulky/longlife stuff which I cant be bothered to go out in the cold and rain for like 16 packs of loo roll and big boxes of washing powder ....

May have ordered a bottle of mulled wine for when I start my present wrapping! £2.48 ... shall report back if it is drinkable! :rotfl:

Have set a food shopping challenge in my signature (already creeping into next years budget for above online shop so will have to be especially good till April!) Even if we go over anything under £150 a month will be fab!

In other health-kick news, though I havent lost any weight :( I did fit into 2 pairs of jeans which didnt fit me in the summer so am hoping all my running around (and kicking mrtyo to do the same) is paying off in some way! :rotfl:

Lets see if I can resist eating the cakes ......
  • Mornin!
Payday and with expenses £750 transferred to house fund plus £600 to FD savers :)

Breakfast , lunch and dinner from storecupboard :)

Overspent on this years £400 till xmas budget :( but still averaging at £125 p/m since september and should see us thru till xmas! :)

Rainy and windy and 'orrible outside ... and dark.... and its almost time to leave for work! :(

however... only 20 more days of work till :xmastree: :)

    tasks for this week:
    1) winter car checks oil/water/tyres/emergency blanket etc..
    2) enquire into cheaper mobile contracts : mine is currently £10.50ish but creeping up with all kinds of "hidden" costs- mrtyo has much cheaper new one so may be able to haggle!

    have a good monday all
