hi not sure if this is the right thread but last year i made jam from a recipe on here but my question is how do you get rid of the taste/smell of what was in the jar before? i used the 9p curry jars that was suggested and the jam tasted of curry.:eek:0

Could you try only using the curry jars for savory things like chutneys - the curry taste would add to the flavour!
I think there is a value Lemon Curd in one of the supermarkets for a few pence which could be used for Jams and the residual flavour woudn't matter too much! Or value Jam, then empty and re-fill with home made!0 -

I usually use jars that held savoury for chutney, and jars that held sweet ones for jam, but there are a couple of suggestions here:

I have calico fabric and wadding, I have traced the pattern onto the fabric, but what do I do with the wadding, do I attach it after I have sewn the pattern
