I think I'm going to change the angel's face and make it more like the smowman and tin soldier having now discovered that Sharpies are quite good for this (I was avoiding hand sewing as I don't do that!)
The presents open at the top and I'm going to get my little boy to go through the argos catalogue and cut some things out to put inside them cos I think he's find that fun!

WOW your felt decorations look like they came from a shop not home made. I was thinking to make this but im not very good if i did, it would look like my 3 year old made them may be i will make them with her then i can use that as an excuse when they turn out like a child made them.0

These are great, what are they made out of?I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
They are made of 1 white sock, the toe is the bottom of the snowman. I cut them below the heel stuff them for the body then secure a rubber band round it this creates the neck. Then stuff it more and add another rubber band. I like to sew the top of the head. Then I made a hat and scarf from fleece fabric, simple seam then fasten scarf round neck. On the hat I fringe the top then wrap embroidery silk round then fasten that off. Turn a brim on the hat, which I sew up then hot glue the hat to the head. Don't forget the features etc.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

I was in a charity shop yesterday and spotted this as an alternative to the flannel dogs and reindeer that others have made:
(picture taken in shop) It's obviously american because it has 'purse' rather than a handbag. It looks fairly easy to make using a piece of wire for the handle and two drawing pins for the clasp. Anybody here creative enough to think of a more suitable poem?
