Does anyone have any ideas for novelty gifts for men? We did the 'pint of socks' last year (sold 24 of them) but need something different to try this year. I have searched online but haven't come up with anything as easy as the pint of socks.
Some of my craft group adapted the sock cupcakes to make men's versions. Sorry, I didn't think to take a photo of them.0 -
Hello everyone,
I'm looking at doing some Snowman Soup and things like that - Reindeer Poop, Snowman Poop, Elves Walking Sticks etc. I know last year or it might have been the year before there was a thread about it all but can't seem to find it. Does anyone know if it's up and running this year? Could really do with some ideas.
Thanks in advance. xxx0 -

Do any of you go to craft classes? I have become despondent by the lack of support of my carers craft group which I ran at home - when sometimes only 2 people turn up.
So, I finally taken the plunge and booked a room in a community centre for three mornings in Nov/Dec. The classes will be 2 hours and making simple things like tree decs, sock cupcakes, facecloth swiss rolls etc.. All sort of "make & take" items.
I wondered if anyone did a class like this, and how much they paid.
I thought £5 per session (incl Tea & home made cake) or £4.50 per session (incl Tea & biscuit). The materials cost would be extra, depending on the items made each week, about £1 - £3 per week.
Are these the sort of prices people pay, which do you think sounds best?
I asked this on the 'up your income' craft thread, but got no replies.
Thank you for any help.
(p.s. I have got the insurance for public & product liability & teaching, and am already registered self employed with HMRC)0 -
Craftier - if you were near to me I would come along! Sounds a fantastic idea and I would certainly pay the £5 plus materials. I've just started a community sewing course which is provided free and so are the materials and they are still struggling to get people to attend!0
