Oh dear....took my purchases from Primarni last week...and accdentally fell into Republic, Zara and H&M as well....:o:o I think my budget could be in jeopardy - although to be fair two purchases were coloured jeans, one of which will go back but couldn't make my mind up in all the artificial lighting.

    Hi all,

I had a freedom day yesterday. Hubby and I went out in the evening and I wrapped up thinking that we were going to be outside all night, so I dug out a long-bodied cowl-neck jumper. We ended up meeting a friend in the pub and stayed in there all night instead, I was sweltering! :rotfl:

I'm still not sure about the jumper though, the last time I wore it was Sept 2008, and I think I haven't worn it very often is because it's a bit itchy and makes me look 'bulky'.

If you're not sure about it then prob best to ebay it or send it to the CS so someone else can enjoy it. :)

I have a spend to report, £84 from Boden. I got 3 t-shirts and a cardigan, all good quality and look lovely so going to keep them.

I had a freedom day yesterday and also another one today. Both tops I bought a looong time ago but have possibly only worn each once. Not sure about the one I am freeing today but am not going out (NSD) so giving it a chance before I decide to ebay / CS it.

I have also given new life to a wool cardigan which i accidentally put through a hot wash and it felted, I made it into a hot water bottle cover. Got the idea from a blog I was looking through, can't remember which but it was super easy. It looks a lot better than my old hot water bottle cover so am very happy.

I know, I know what I should do, but unless I'm 100% sure I won't ever wear it again I'll probably keep hold of it, as as much as I hate buyer's remorse I also hate the remorse I feel when I've let something go and then I want it back :o

Uh oh I bought a number of things this month, but all using ebay money so it felt guilt-free haha.
All secondhand/ebay: zara cream lace dress (swapped some jeans and a top for it), unworn white converses,

two h&m day dresses -I already own this in black, lol, it suits my bodyshape a lot so i tracked down these two on ebay

Navy h&m shift dress -i have 3 of this exact style already, again it really suits me and I wear it nearly everyday/ get complimented on it all the time, thank you ebay!

another duplicate of a jersey jacket I already own, ( I'm beginning to sound bit loopy here!) Only £3 secondhand! I wear this over my uniform dress all the time so it's good to have a spare

    Naughty topshop spend:
Betty Boop style ruby red sequinned strapless dress, definitely impulse buy but it's gorgeous:rotfl:My boyfriend's reaction was 'When on earth are you gonna wear that?' He's probably right, but I've got a 'look' in mind, with veronica lake waves and pin up style make up:)

Oh yeah and two gossard corselettes from their ooh la la range. I know a girl who works for gossard so got them for £20 each (instead of £60:eek:) Can't wait to receive them they're so dreamy!

Also bought some boots from Bertie Outlet on ebay, they stated that some of the shoes are ex-display but god they look awful on arrival, the leather's all stretched and creased and smells of feet, so they're going back

Plan for march: take a break from shopping so I can start wearing what I've got  Plus trying to flog old clothes on ebay for peanuts is hard work so yeah gotta learn to 'buy less and wear more' as Gok says!

Oh and I had a semi freedom day too, there's a few things that's been stored away in cupboards because they are in need of dry cleaning, I discovered the handwash setting on my washing machine works quite well,(with Spin disabled, with some handwashing detergent and a laundry bag) so bunged loads of dry clean only stuff in there, came out fine, hooray! :-D I even washed my 3/4 length leather jacket this morning, lol (no detergent, just cup of fabric conditioner to freshen up), it came out undamaged, hooray! It was much needed as well, I bought it from a carboot and it stunk lol.

Don't try this with wool coats though, I remember doing this after reading about it on OS or something, it came out of the wash fine, but without spin, it's soaking wet and really heavy, and while it was air drying the water made it so heavy it pulled the coat out of shape:eek:
  • Very proud of myself as I nearly spent about £100 on a couple of dresses at the weekend. But husband got very grumpy at me taking ages in the fitting room, so I just left them. Kind of gutted, but I just needed another few minutes to decide which I really wanted (as I liked about 6 but wasn't going to buy them all!). It was a random shop in London, and there isn't one up here in Manchester, so I can't just go back to pick them again.
