Good morning all, I am now on day 15 and still going strong. This is a first for me and I feel powerful. Have I really got to grips with my shopping addiction?
Everhopeful - get your favourite things out and try them on in front of the mirror. throw your accessories together and see what works for you. Enjoy your purchases.
Swampmonster - please share the secret of your weight loss. I have 16lbs to lose and I have no idea how.
Enjoy the rest of your day all and keep up the good work.

I have been doing Weightwatchers on-line at the moment. I think there is some sort of sign up offer on at the moment. I prefer Slimming World though its faster and less tedious so am thinking of going back to that once things are less hectic.
Well I have been embracing ' Skirt Saturday ' and have been wearing my denim skirt today and I may even wear a skirt tommorow too!!
Got some spends to declare £6.91 on 3/4 jeans from New Look via Ebay and £22.55 on two pairs of ugg style boots on Amazon, one of which is in a rather fetching purple, so I must be getting old like the poem says. Also £22.50 on some Brown wide leg boots from Evans via Ebay for the more cold wet days. Must must must stay off Ebay now. Just too tempting!
So thats £57.72/£100 I spent so far and the rest of the year to go!! I must remember that £100 is not a target to aim for!!
I must keep inventing new outfits out of what I already have. Been looking on www.pinterest.com for inspiration and found it very useful.
Good luck everyone XXX0 -
Hi
Post this on the post 'Style Inspiration Needed' but thought I'd post it here as well

Finally all my clothes come from Ebay mainly and I scored this wonderful skirt for £2.99 from Warehouse

If I buy from the shops I only do it when a discount code is going and I get cash back on a shop.
Charity shops are a gawd send.
Personally I think you need to find your own style and then mix and match your wardrobe with items that work with more then one piece
Hope this helps0 -
Thanks aylithuk for posting here too.
I would appreciate if one of you could help me and do a link to the 'style inspiration needed' thread I did on behalf of the lovely people on this thread on the Health and Fashion MSE forum.
Seemed like some of us were in a bit of a rut inspiration wise and could do with a little help so I asked them.
Many thanks0 -
I am severely useless at not spending. I have blown the budget in eleven days.
Today I was bored so I went round the charity shops and bought:-
Beige waterfall cardigan
Stripey long sleeve t-shirt
Green long sleeve t-shirt
Green cardigan
Black evening top
Black lacey t-shirt
Cropped jeans
Black vest top
Sandals
White sleeveless shirt
Wrap dress
Not bad for 44.99 but takes me over budget and only about £5 of stuff I actually NEEDED!!!
Now you can see why I need this challenge. Its scared me how much I spent and it doesn't include any thing I have bought for my kids or OH and is definatley more than I can afford.
Someone give me a good talking to please!!0 -

I'll let the experts give you the requested talking to, I'm not very good at resisting stuff myself when I get an attack of the spends
Is it just clothes you spend on? Is it just when you're bored? Maybe it would help to look at what/why you spend and identify the danger times to make them easier to avoid? I know I'm terrible when I'm hormonal so I try to stay away from the shops then. I'll still probably go to the corner shop for chocolate and a magazine but it costs less
Can you find something else to do when you're bored that'll make you feel better about yourself? HTH a bit, and don't beat yourself up, you can do this

I can see from your signature you are losing weight at the moment which is great - are these clothes in your new size? If they are then that's fair enough but don't forget your haul equates to £4 approx to each item , now I don't know what make the items are but if good quality named brands in good nick , fine but if supermarket cheap copies etc then not so good.. Plus if you still plan to loose weight be careful not to over buy clothes in sizes you won't be in for long
So a couple of ideas I had were
1) Return to CS if still have receipt those not really needed.
2) Pull out 11 items of clothing from current wardrobe similar to ones bought and flog them on ebay to make money back then it cancels it out.
3) Go shopping in own wardrobe - get friends round get their opinion(lure them with promise of a unique personal shopping experience inc glass of wine) of what to keep, swap, flog and charity pile - and make your mates take them away to CS for you there and then! And if they ask you to do same - great - you might end up with some freebies.
4) Make yourself wear all the items at some point (not all together at same time:rotfl:) for the rest of the month if you decide to keep them .
Don't beat yourself up about it - just learn from it and get as much wear out of them if you decide to keep them.

Hello all!
Almost at budget breaking point. Bought a pair of trousers and 2 short sleeved polo jumpers for work yesterday costing £35. I kind of needed to buy the trousers there and then as I got soaked in a heavy downpour and didn't want to sit in soggy clothes all afternoon at work. They'll replace my work skirt which now sits on my hips. I tried on the same skirt in the size smaller and it didn't fit at all, far too tight
I also needed some warmer work tops now autumn is here so I should be ok though I do need a pair of work shoes, I think flip flop weather has definitely disappeared and the only weatherproof footwear I own are a pair of knee high, high heeled boots and a pair of snow boots
Looks like I have £4.25 left in the budget. If you'd have asked me how much I spent on clothes annually, I would never have thought that much AND this year I've consciously cut back on what I spend0 -
Ok not sure what I am letting myself in for here.
Can I join oct to dec ? Please
£100 for me. ... I'm already thinking I will struggle but am up for the challenge.;)
After being inspired by all the lovely people in the thread.. And the honesty of those falling off the wagon on occasion :rotfl: i would love to join please ,
i have spent at least £1k a year in the past and i feel that is conservative..never really thought about it before.
The good points just been through wardrobe and have found 10 good items I can sell... So that's a positive.
Might be able to separate myself from one or two pairs of uggs..as well so this will be a spending (cutback) and selling challenge for me.
