  • Well, it was nice whilst it lasted.

Got up, cooked pancakes for both girls, pottered around.

Then I asked Minion to feed the cats.

Big mistake. She ignored me repeatedly and then started yelling and shouting at me when I went to clear away her jigsaw puzzle. Oh, and trying to crush my fingers, but screaming like a banshee when I held her hand.

DD1 looks decidedly uncomfortable and I doubt she'll be back again in a hurry. So I'm hiding upstairs as this is probably the last time I see DD1 and it's been spoiled for her and I don't trust myself not to cry or let rip at Minion. Crying seems the most likely at the moment, though, unusually enough.

JoJo hugs. Can you make sure DD1 knows you'd like her to come back?

    (((Hugs))) to JoJo

I've grabbed a few hugs while I've been catching up on the fred..2 uninvited guests moved in over Christmas - BD and his best mate PA. AF joined in Boxing Day, although technically not invited, she was expected!! But being 51 I keep hoping she'll go on vacation some time soon and stay there!!

....oh my! I just looked across at the budgie, and thought his head had fallen off! On closer inspection he appers to be asleep with his head turned back over his shoulder - looks most uncomfortable, but infinitely preferable to decapitation! .....

I'm not dressed yet but have had two friends over for coffee and Christmas cake this morning. I guess I've moved on from CHAOS to 'you can come as long as you take me as you find me'.

Think I'll get dressed now, then have something to eat. So much for being organised today...

I'm going to work hard at staying on the flylady wagon this week and in 2012....although I know I'll be shattered at returning to F/T work....well aimed fluffy mules may be required :0)

Enjoy your Holiday Tuesday, or whatever it is xx

Hi all - bet you thought I'd hibernated!:D I wish!.... the wee problem with my left shoulder spread to the right, with the result that Xmas Eve, I could barely move either arm. Still had to try and do my tasks though - Sidney still needed to be walked and fed, for a kick-off!:o Good job Mr LW is happy to step up to the plate and help when needed!:A Problem has improved a bit - more or less back to just the left side now, but still, unfortunately, extremely painful.:(

Ah well, what can't be cured must be endured, as my grandmother was wont to say!

Anyways, I've gone through the lists thus far this week, and I think I can safely say we're up to scratch with them.

    N/A

A quick S&S over the kitchen should see it looking fabulous again
    Done
Put the best crockery/glasses away, or just out of the way so it doesn't get damaged.

I've skim-read the thread, but tbh, not taken in a vast amount, so I'll just say I hope you all had a happy and peaceful Xmas; oh, and belated Hoppy Birdday to Piggers.:o

Signing off now, and going to see if I can manage a spot of cross stitch, while Mr LW watches some rubbishy programme he had me tape for him about a week ago and hasn't got round to watching yet!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Well, I don't know if that was the power of flylady, or if BD and his mate just sloped off ready to return at 5am tomorrow as they usually do, BUT not only am I dressed, the bed is made, the dirty washing has been sorted AND the first load is in the WM.

I think someone threw a stick!!!! Thankyou xx

    Gentle hugs to Lame Wolf.

I have decided to get a new kitchen as mine is horrendous and badly designed (actually, I don't think you could call it 'designed'!!). Any recommendations, ideas, tips, etc. would be welcome!
I can come over and brainstorm a few ideas if you like :D i need to go to ikea anyway, and we could have a look at what they have in... mind you... I did remove the floor, ceiling and part of a wall when I did mine :o Now is a good time to work out the design as you can pick up the units etc in the sales, and then save up for the fitting and any electrical/plumbing work (as well as preparing yourself mentally for the mess and disruption!)

I'm back home, and have hoovered up the dust in the study. I need to wash the floor and wipe down the bit of the room that the furniture is being moved back into. Then I can start putting things away on the shelves, and hopefully get the curtain pole and newe curtains up tomorrow :D
