I hope you feel better Dancemum.

Get well wishes for all the people feeling poorly xx

kids have decimated the downstairs since we have got home. I don't know how? They have only been in 10 mins then gone to bed. I have to reapeat today's marathon cleaning session in addition to attacking the tornado upstairs. one wet load of washing on standby. I can't put the TD on or it will raise the temperature (4deg) in the utility room.

DH has let me down. I should be used to it by now. I was told that I had no right to complain because I don't remind him . I told him that reminding him that was the definition of nagging - something he hates. Very p'd off.
  • Morning everyone. Hugs to all the poorlies out there - there seem to be quite a few of you.

Mumto5 - Sounds just like my DH:( I swear he thinks tidying and cleaning after him and the kids is my idea of fun.) Did manage to get some help from DS1 yesterday tho & a really good job he did too:T

If you're doing the ironing challenge do a HHI today
Make some time for you, you've worked hard recently

    The Mournful Mound of Mending
    Thursday 18 items - 1 = 17
    Boxing Day - 3 = 14

I only really iron uniforms & smart items of clothing so to clear the ironing pile isn't really that difficult - it feels good to start getting rid of the mending - some of it has been there for 3 years :o but the items at the bottom are going to be the biggest part of the challenge as they are some long curtains that need shortening.

    Morning All

SW this morning and then my mum's for another party this evening so I'm sure whether I'll be going over there this afternoon to give her a hand - it depends whether my aunty's going over to help - it's a big family party. I may just nip into the local town and have a wander round there but don't know yet. DH is back to work tomorrow so then I can crack on and get some jobs done. He's doing a tip run today - we have 7 bin bags and a big box of cardboard so far.

    Hugs mumto5

Hope all the colds, bug,etc go soon - including mine - 4 weeks now!

    Have a good day all

    Morning all

It's still really mild here. Up early as Woody woke me up, we are still keeping him in at night

MrsChaos good luck with the coat, that is what we got for DH the week before Christmas and I've checked and the only one he liked and we bought isn't in the sale now

jackywhizz good luck with the mending, I did mine earlier this year and it was very satisfying and didn't take as long as I thought it would - good luck.

Mumto5 hugs hun. Remember this is a trying time on relationships hence why mine tends to decorate at this time to keep him in another room :rotfl:

Plan to go to the JL and Debenhams sales to look for clothes mainly for DH and DS1 and to get FiL Christmas present - they are coming tomorrow so need to think of food and bedding for then.

A bit more paperwork needed here and going to do January on the calandar. It is a different style, week rather than month to view, which DS1 has bought me and I'm not sure how I'll get on with that.

Thanks for the hugs girls. Still smarting. We were supposed to be hitting the sales early this morning to get my present altered to fit (watch) but DH is still asleep. Littlies are up so we've had breakfast and I've tidied downstairs again. I've thrown out all the cheese - DH left it out when he went to bed. Such a waste.

Saw DH's great niece for the first time yesterday. She's georgeous and her mum has regained her size 8 figure in a month. She looked stunning. She's a very good Mum, it's lovely seeing a one time party girl softened with love.

DS1 is up. He has repatriated a frog from the kitchen to the pond - it was very dusty indeed - obviously filthy under my cupboard/behind the white appliances!

    WM on
DS1 in the shower so my turn next and I'll wake up DH so we can get to the shops sooner rather than later.

:A you made me feel so much better at this point!

    Happy Birthday for yesterday Pigpen

Froddington, kitchens, depends on your budget. Last house was a cheap fix it up so a nice man from BnQ came and did a design which was good. They do have an online designer thing which is useful - did the bathroom on that. I know a lot of people who swear by Howdens, but they only sell to trade direct so you would need to use a local fitter. Be realistic about the time and mess, and make sure you fill the freezer with mocrowaveable stuff so you don't live on takeaways and put half a stone on like me!

Have S&S'd the temporary kitchen and put the DW on. Really need to hoover, and get the boys to sort the play room which is knee deep in lego. Doesn't help that my worktops are taking up most of the floor space :o.
