Morning all
I didn't manage to be back on here on the 24th or all day yesterday. Presents were wrapped just before midnight - a big improvement to build on next year.
Nobody got up early yesterday , so we ended rushing a bit to get to MIL's. Then back to cook dinner, which we have quite late, followed by playing and eventually tidying up a bit. Kids and I happy with Santa's offerings (DH bought a kindle for me :A), but he's still waiting for his main present. He's very difficult to buy for, so we're going shopping tomorrow and he can look for a coat and/or something else. It's his birthday today, too.
Thanks for the lists, Dusty - I'm in this week. Going to have a look now (and read the end of the last thread).
CHRISTMAS DAY!
[STRIKE]Bag up all the wrapping paper, save any useful bits and check it doesn't contain anything valuable[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Delegate pot washing/DW loading![/STRIKE]
Slice off the remaining meat [STRIKE]and either freeze or refridgerate for tomorrow![/STRIKE]
A quick S&S over the kitchen should see it looking fabulous again
Put the best crockery/glasses away, or just out of the way so it doesn't get damaged.
[STRIKE]Wipe the table/table cloth[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Go play with the children [/STRIKE]
Quick wipe over the hob should see it sparkling again
[STRIKE]Don't forget to feed the pets![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Tidy the tree[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Before children go to bed they must stack their new things nicely![/STRIKE]
Boxing Day
Do your dailies
S&S toilets and sinks
Get somebody to hoover high traffic areas
Write a list of presents that need thank you notes
[STRIKE]Enjoy your gifts[/STRIKE]
Phone somebody you forgot to send to or to thank them for their gift
Keep track of the food in fridge so nothing goes to waste
Relax and enjoy the day whatever you are doing

Save remaining cooked veg for stew! It can be frozen if you don't want to eat it in the next few days.. or sling it in the crock pot with the carcass for stock![/STRIKE]

Happy Christmas all. You would be proud - DH and I spent Friday and Saturday flying and prepping. Everything was ready by about 6pm on Xmas Eve. Lunch yesterday was great and everything was cleared up before we went to bed.:j
Today we are clearing the rest of the house so that we can hit the ground running for work tomorrow. I'm sorting piles (probably about 50) technical magazines I need to read - Yawn.:rotfl:
Hope you are all having a relaxing dayGC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -

Afternoon all
Lovely baby seafarer's
Happy Birthday pigpen
I've done some washing, tidied living room and put presents away (DH and I only get a few so it didn't take long). Vacuumed through downstairs and washed the kitchen floor. I've tidied through some kitchen cupboards and drawers that had got trashed over the last couple of days, and now that the presents are out of the little bedroom that has been tidied and straightened up.
Had a little walk this morning just to buy the papers and get some fresh air.
DD2 was here for cold meat, mash and pickles lunch but just DH and I here tonight.
Why do I feel so tired?
