Well done on the bargain, dusty! Could be a good opportunity to try Nigella's brined turkey on Hex's recommendation. You could have a proper turkey dinner (if you can face it) and slice/cube the rest to freeze for sarnies, curry, pasta bake, pie (works well with ham), in peppercorn sauce. More stock, too.

I've portioned it raw and frozen it. Woody had some raw scraps and I'm cooking the carcus (sp) with bits on for the cats. I don't like turkey stock so won't bother with the bones.

I've felt really washed out all day so mainly pottered. I have checked all the credit card/bank statements and know that we really need to have an economy drive for the first 2 months of the year before our holiday - bit of a problem with 4 of us having birthdays in that time (two of them 16th and 18th birthdays).

Going to start writing up my calendar for January - it is a busy month with masses of meetings and a little invigilating so that will help a bit cash wise.

Just popped in to say Hi. Hope everyone is enjoying their festive season. I managed to do 2xWM this morning plus put out a pile of rubbish and recycling. Need to get organised tomorrow - work on Wednesday (gulp).

Have a good Boxing Day evening all my lovely flyladies xx

I'm at my SIL's house. Very sober (driving). Very tired!
Just waiting for the boys to watch the end of the football then I will drive them home. DH is also sober. This is a most peculiar day!

I've cleared downstairs, hoovered, swept and dusted. Upstairs has been visited by a tornado (7 children). I will take a deep breath and attack that tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas.

Tomorrows list is up and I've copied the ironing challenge takers across. Time to watch The Borrowers now.

    Happy Birthday Pigpen

Getting a little bored of the poorlyness here. Nothing too bad though just I have a chest infection, asthma, DS1 has a cold and DH has a stomach bug. No one seems to want the rich food or drink we have. I made a bit of an error with my grocery delivery, I didn't check the use by date and lots of stuff went out of date by today. I wont be making that mistake again.

Thanks for tomorrow's list, dusty. Even I can manage that and fit it in around our shopping trip to M'hell to find DH's combined bday/Christmas present of a new coat. DS2 wants to buy some more skylander figures with his Christmas money from relatives and DS1 needs some more things for his trip to New York.

I've felt washed out and tired today, too. Time to get ready to go out for a birthday drink, now.

Hello! I hope everyone had a good day yesterday.

I have decided to get a new kitchen as mine is horrendous and badly designed (actually, I don't think you could call it 'designed'!!). Any recommendations, ideas, tips, etc. would be welcome!
