I am having a ten minute catch up!

Dusty - have you tried spraying bullycat with a water pistol? If you can time it when he is round the cat flap it should help a lot.
Vanilla - is Rhys better now?
Natty - hope all is ok, you really seem to get into the Christmas spirit
LL - Hope you and your son had a lovely day
MrsC, Rach and Kazmeister - envious of the new gadgets
dancemum - hope everyone is feeling better
Mumto5 - hope things have settled down, I agreed with Dustys comments about decorating and different rooms.
Lamewolf - glad you posted, was wondering about you. Hope you feel better soon
    msgnomey - hugs for you
    roundtuit - good luck!
camNollies - totally agree on the DW

Hugs for the poorlies and those suffering from an excess of family :p

I need to have a shower and get dressed then I can get on with something useful like hoover the cobwebs off the beams in the kitchen and get on with painting them. And then have another shower

Morning all, big day here for OH. He's down at the addition unit today with a feeling already that he'll get no help. I've had a bit of a wobbler so i'm going with him and if they dare put me through a 30 mile round trip for nothing i will go stone mad. This year WILL be the year that hubby makes big steps in his recovery for addition and mental health. I will make sure he's seen more often by his doctor and his CPN. My foot is firmly down...:rotfl:

Hex, Rhys seems fine now the other boys have been looking abit pale for a few days but seem fine now. Plus the nits have gone, i'll keep checking but they seem gone....:j:j:j:j

    Right i better get dressed.....
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I'm heading to town with some returns. The toy I got for DS3 is faulty and Argos are out of stock everywhere. He is really disappointed.
DH still being a $~!<. DSD and DSS over today so he can get on with it. He asked me where their presents were and I told him that they were still in his head. Not my responsibility. Something else I didn't nag sorry remind him to do.

Kitchen has been s/s. HHI accomplished. The park and ride bus is approaching my drop off so I'm post again later.

Hi all; back to "normality" a bit today, with Mr LW back at work.;)

Kazmeister so sorry to hear about your Aunty. (((HUG)))
Thanks for all the kitchen advice so far.

I was looking at someone coming in to measure up and do a design. I don't trust myself to do the measurements accurately as the kitchen is a funny shape with 2 doorways! I'm hoping to get someone who will do all the fitting, flooring, tiling, etc. as I would be pretty useless! Definitely planning on looking in the sales though - some good bargains around at the moment.
You know, it's a shame I don't live near you - I used to work for the Valuation Office Agency, and part of my job entailed doing accurate measurements of rooms, often very strange shaped ones at that; I'm darned sure that given a tape, graph paper and a clipboard, I could still remember how to do it!:o

I've been putting off getting our kitchen refitted for about six years now; and I suspect this will be Year Number Seven.:D I can cope with the measuring, and possibly sort out the designing (it needs to be made more disabled-friendly) but I simply cannot get my head around the idea of a bunch of workmen in here.:eek::eek::eek::eek: and possibly :eek::eek: for good measure!

When I went for my recent psych evaluation, they asked me why I don't have Social Services coming in to do stuff for me, and I said I can't cope with the idea of a stranger coming in and doing that sort of stuff - way too much like an invasion of my privacy, and of my home.:(

Onwards, to today's list - when I looked, it was all covered already except for S&S-ing the bathroom, so like a good little Flylady, I went and did that before posting.:D

    Wednesday
Put away all wrapping paper, tags and cards until next year (noting where!)
    N/A
    Delete some emails, old links
Done; I spent 3 days:eek: deleting old emails and links, “shredding” obsolete files (using freeware Absolute File Shredder, which I can recommend;)), folders for 2012 created where they'll be needed (for bills and such-like), full back-up done, and computer defragged, so it's all nice and tidy ready for 2012:o
    Recycle any Christmas catalogues etc
N/A; we don't have any – they'll have already gone in the recycling bag if any came through the door;)

    Change a bed or 2
    Hoover upstairs/bedrooms
Mr LW hoovered throughout and the bed was changed Saturday, our regular day:o
    S&S bathroom
Done; mirror also cleaned – Mr LW did it the other day, with surface cleaner instead of glass cleaner, so it was all smeary.:( Bless him, he did try!:A

HHI, come on you can clear that pile by the New Year
N/A – Mr LW's job for now, and he did what there was to do on Sunday:A
Try to get at least 10 minutes fresh air
Done – 45 minute "walk" (using the mobility buggy) with Sidney at 09:00 this morning, and I have another 30 minute one to do at 13:00:o

It's not all plain sailing today, unfortunately; both arms are extremely painful today, and I can't move the left one round far enough to get to my coat pocket with my coat on, to give you an idea of the extent of the problem. I've been awake all night with the pain, too; even Oramorph only dulls it a bit.:( I hope to goodness it lets up soon; I find I'm feeling scared of what's going on when I'm lying awake at 03:00, which in the cold light of day I know is silly, it's just a very nasty flare, but I'm sure you'll get where I'm coming from. I don't know if anyone remembers the TUC General Secretary Vic Feather;( it's going back a fair few years to say the least) - I keep remembering reading that he died of lupus, and I can't seem to get that fact out of my head.:(
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I think quite a few of us on here use the GC. I lose track of mine a lot :o. I must find the Office disc so I can put excel on this laptop.

Decide what you want to include - and what you don't (takeways for example). Have a guess at what you have spent before and then keep an accurate record for January, this will give you a figure to beat for Feb. Just recording what you spend may make you think twice about buying junk.

The same thing works with food and exercise - which is why we keep the diet thread running over on the Facebook group :)here
if anyone else wants to come and play.

Showered and a wipe of the bathroom whilst I was there. Also tidied the fridge, prepped and shifted some stuff to the freezer and thought about what else needs using up. Might make a huge fruit salad and clear the windowledge - I have my usual monster stack from the F&V box.

    Morning all

It looks like quite a few of us are having a rough time at the moment. Sending (((hugs))) (gentle ones for LW), spoons and coping vibes.

Messed up my plan for today purely through own fault. I was up early enough, but gave in to the kindle. :o

Never mind, I'll just have to re-schedule and get on with things now.

I'll update my list and add own stuff in a moment.

Phone somebody you forgot to send to or to thank them for their gift
