We popped in to the city centre yesterday and the boys spent some of their Christmas money. Skylanders, Hexbugs, kung zhu hamsters & a James Bond game. I got the large size skincare that only come out 2x a year. I have been a very lucky girl and have a selection of vouchers to spend.
My sisters and families came around when we returned and one stayed for dinner so I'm hoping for a rest today.
Hugs and sticks for those BDs are by the front door (help yourselves)
Have put kettle on then will carry on. How many coffee/teas?0

            Morning all,
 Off we go again,
I'm adding a couple of bits to the list for me:-
Tax Car Tax renewal to PO
 [STRIKE]
 Put away xmas decorations[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Throw out decorations not used[/STRIKE] (rubbish no good on freecycle even)
Put a few loft items to go to charity shop whilst in loft. More to the point put in car boot to actually take to shop
[STRIKE]Put away all wrapping paper, tags and cards until next year (noting where!)[/STRIKE] Easy, they are where they normally live anyway.
 Delete some emails, old links
 [STRIKE]Recycle any Christmas catalogues etc[/STRIKE]
Change a bed or 2 - On Fridays.
 Hoover upstairs/bedrooms
 S&S bathroom
HHI, come on you can clear that pile by the New Year
Try to get at least 10 minutes fresh air
*Phew* it dosn't look much but almost everything to do with Christmas is in the loft. One more go up the ladder, then put things away when up there. Thats alot less to do.
Stopped now for something to eat.0

 indeed! The teenagers do such a poor job here and charge me £5 so I used to go to the carwash instead . I suspect it is like me making terrible tea at work, no-one accepts twice. . I suspect it is like me making terrible tea at work, no-one accepts twice.
DW emptied and filled. DS1 has no clean trousers - that'll be because he rips every pair he wears so they go in the bin. Must put the WM on next.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

            Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 I'm back again!
We had a wonderful Christmas Day, at OH's brother and sil with various family members. Beautiful lunch it was gorgeous.
Boxing Day OH went up his brother's and I walked my mountain with the dogs. Foggy and windy and wet but I do that every boxing day, it's "my" time.
Last night we were up friends and I drank..............rather a lot......:o
I rarely drink so today's hangover is at epic portions!
Flying wise - 2 lots of washing done and have planned a rush through tomorrow plus a gym visit. I think we all get tired cos we do so much leading up to Christmas and then stop, so it all catches up with us.
Anyway looking forward to being back with the flyladies again.
 Take care all
1 step closer xxxxxxxxxxxxx:TIf you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
 I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! 0 0

Well managed to get to the tip so outside the back door is a lot tidier...10 black sacks and tons of cardboard gone...couldnt recycle as bin already full:eek:
Took 2 littlies to MrMs...they were very good...no reduced mincemeat though which is one thing I was hoping for...did get some reduced bits...Spag Bog for tea at LOs request...all turkey has gone:(:(...will persuade OH to make it...
He has fixed all the drawers in 1 of my bedroom chests...several more to do...2 were done yesterday so have sorted out al the stuff(undies and nightwear ) and disposed of loads...will sort out rest when others are dry but this will mean they are tons tidier
Bought some mould remover today ...hoping OH will have a go at bathroom this week as it is grotty...cant do it myself as this affects my asthma.
Town tomorrow to return the faulty Guitar hero controller...£15 back in my purse...brand new one ordered from Amazon...Friday I have a doctors appointment for my back in the morning and in the afternoon DS2 has Excema clinic at the Childerns hospital...he looks like he has been burned but suspect he has the Herpes Simplex virus on top of his excema which will mean tablets for at least 3 years and a change of creams etc..
Nice to see all the returners xxxxFeeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Also 3 cats and 3 fishies

            Afternoon all
I've done the bedrooms today, I felt like I needed to do some proper cleaning! So I've done two loads of washing, my bedding and a load of clothes. Still got some to do but no more room to hang anything up until tomorrow.
 Also vacuumed through downstairs.
Been shopping with DD2 and got next year's cards and wrapping paper. That's all I really needed.
DH back at work today but I booked holiday so I'm home until next Tuesday
Hope today goes well for you Vanilla.0

            Hi All
Hope everyone had a good Christmas - thought I'd better drop in and say 'hello'! I also thought I'd better ease back into some kind of a routine so that it's not too much of a shock next week! I haven't read back through the thread but notice from MrsChaos post that some are having a difficult time at the moment - sending some hugs...
Right, I've had a look at the list on page one and have done the following:
 CHRISTMAS DAY!
 DONE
 Boxing Day
 DONE
 Holiday Tuesday
Mop any floors which need it
Empty all bins and check when your 'revised' collections are
 Clean your kitchen sink
[STRIKE]Check the kids uniform, shoes, coats are clean
Check which dates the kids are back
Put receipts with anything which needs returning[/STRIKE]
If you're doing the ironing challenge do a HHI today
[STRIKE]Make some time for you, you've worked hard recently [/STRIKE]
 Wednesday
Put away all wrapping paper, tags and cards until next year (noting where!)
 Delete some emails, old links
 Recycle any Christmas catalogues etc
 [STRIKE]Change a bed or 2[/STRIKE]
 Hoover upstairs/bedrooms
 S&S bathroom
HHI, come on you can clear that pile by the New Year
[STRIKE]Try to get at least 10 minutes fresh air[/STRIKE]
Not done so well today, but did go on a walk to our local Tesco/Argos/Homebase - currently don't have the car as it needs the brake shoes replacing and there's nowhere open/willing to do it this week. Exercise will do me good!
Saw some total low-life run off with a gold chain from Argos....we were looking at an eternity ring for me (at last!!) and he was standing next to me looking at said chain. Have to say he looked a bit unusual - you know you get a feeling sometimes? Anyway, he picked it up 'to gauge the weight' and then held it up to his face 'I love the smell of gold' (What?! - it was that statement that made me take a good look at him). Next thing he was off out of the door! Not sure whether they caught him but I've left my details in case the police need to get in touch.
Honestly, some people! Woman serving us said it was at least £1000 worth of chain. (Should have stuck my foot out - I was that close to him!)
Right, well, we're off to see FIL at the nursing home - have a great evening.
 Take care
 D

I've just eaten a rather big (and old) frog by phoning the child benefit helpline. I can't sort it today, because DS1 can't remember a) when he started his current course and b) the title/level of the qualification. That's the same DS1 who wants to have all the rights and perks of being considered an adult...
I've now contacted his training provider, but at least I've set the ball rolling.0
