Sort out your glasses, do you have enough for any get togethers or do you have too many that you never use? Adjust as necessary - lovely ones can be picked up at the charity shop often at a good price. N/A

Hmm difficult one this. In general it has been a very difficult year, low money, impending redundancy since Feburary (really not nice), family issues, some health issues! It feels like it's been a case of waiting for this year to end!
But I do have a lovely hubby (even if he can be a right pain at times), great in-laws, some very good close friends and have discovered I actually like the gym and can push myself more and more each week.
Oh and I had a fantastic Christmas! and discovered that hubby wants to spend NYE in and not go out which is fine by me!

Msgonomy - I suffer from plantar wotsit but on my heels. I found manipulation after some strong painkillers helped me a lot. I also have very thick yukky skin on the bottoms of my feet which is slowly coming off.
I know your pain!
Take care and make sure you elevate your foot often.

Evening.
Sat here at the kitchen table, absolutely shattered. So is Dizziee the Ninja Kitten. He's curled up in front of the keyboard, draped over my arm. So I'm typing one handed. And my mother is on the phone !
Have braved Mr A with Minion. Not too bad there, actually. But there were so many things that I could have put in a freezer, I am even more certain I want a proper freezer.
Came back, blitzed the bathrooms, did the cat litter trays, binbagged everything in sight I could, then struggled out the front in the rain reorganising rubbish for the late bin collection. But everybody else in the streets around here has put out tons of black bags, so mine doesn't look much different to theirs.
The place looks better, but there's still more to do tomorrow.
And my mother is still talking.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Thank you for all the congratulations for DD passing her driving test. She is a very happy girl. I managed to negotiate the insurance company down from $1200 to $707. DD1 now thinks I am a money saving genius - she is right (I learned it all from Martin Lewis):money:.
MSGNOMEY - I have a friend who suffered from PF - excrutiating. I really hope you get it sorted soon.
DH is out for a [STRIKE]skinfull[/STRIKE] few beers with his friends. All kids are home so I can't decamp to another bed. DH has a horrible cold and will snore even more than ususal. I really don't want to catch his cold it's taken long enough to get over the one I had before Christmas. Things are a little better between us but I have a long memory and he needs up his game.
Well now seems as good a time as any to tackle a HHI0 -

HHI
Friday - last list of the Year
Clean WM/DW filters and put through on a clean cycle
HHI - some of you must be near the bottom of your pile now
HHPaperwork - I know it's boring but it needs to be done
Wipe handles and switches, door, cupboards anything aim for 10
S&S sinks and loos
My list for this week:
work stuff (need write more detailed list for this)
write and start a declutter plan
HW with DS2 (make a plan)
collect numbing cream for DS2's blood test
find health ins claim form
fill in DS2's passport renewal form
phone Diamond
Blessings - well, although this year was pretty much an annus horribilis, there's still a lot I'm thankful for. DH recovered from his illness, I still have a job (many of my colleagues don't) and I'm in a position to make plans for the future. Both DSs are healthy, I have fantastic friends and made a few new ones. Many uncertainties ahead in 2012, but that also means possibilities.
I'm afraid I'll have to bow out of the ironing challenge. I expected DH to get it out of the way yesterday or today, but he hasn't bothered and he'll be working tomorrow. I could take it on myself, but have quite a lot of school stuff to do, which will have to come first. If I'd known earlier I'd have given it a go.

Hi all
Hope you all had a good Christmas.
Hugs and spoons all round.
Glad today is almost over (was 2 years ago today that my late OH was told he had a large tumor, Jan 8th we were told it was terminal - less than a year, 10 weeks later he died. Was ok last year not sure why I feel meh this year)
Today I have kept busy:
Took xmas tree down
Cut up cards to use as tags for next year
Dusted LR
Hoovered LR & hallway
Wiped stairs
Hoovered stairs
Swept & mopped kitchen floor
Cleaned bathroom, mopped bathroom floor
Put recycling in wheelie bin
Wiped & cleared kitchen table & worktops
Dusted kitchen
Cleaned MW
Baked loaf in BM
However my (full) ironing basket is sat looking at me and I plan to meet the challenge by completing it tomorrow morning
Tomorrow I plan to sort the upstairs.
Then I intend to smudge the whole house with sage for the new year.
This year has been a vast improvement on last year (which was the hardest/ most painful of my life). I brought my house and got a job after moving back to my home town. I've learnt to look at what I've got, not what I don't (still not perfect at it but getting there!) and feel more contented.
For 2012 - I hope to get my chickens, get my veggie patch started & growth plenty of veg for myself, sort rest of the garden. Finish the lounge and look to re-doing the bathroom.
Hope 2012 is a great year for you all - health improves, finances improve.
Love & light x0 -
Morning All
Well I'm going to get stuck into some ironing shortly and see how much I manage to get done. We went to Ikea yesterday but only got DD's drawers - the other stuff I looked at that I fancied - a filing cabinet (where are we going to put that?) and some storage for the conservatory ( don't like that) - DH stuck his nose up at. Anyway I'm now thinking I'll just get some plastic storage from Mr Ts or Argos - he'll probably like that even less! Plan for today is:
Ironing
DH to build DD's drawers
Tip run
DH to move coat rail in conservatory
Sort computer cabinet out
HHPaperwork
Washing - I seem to have a full basket again
Possibly trip to Mr As.
Have a good day all
Hugs

After working late last night I need to drag myself out of bed and get on with stuff as the house is still a tip and showing very few signs of improvement... The clutter is just moving around! First task before breakfast is to get a load of washing on. After breakfast it is to get the study curtain pole and curtains done... I managed to close the blind in there last night for the first time in around three months!
A little light shredding may also be on the cards, and I really should do my tax return this weekend and not let it carry over into 2012.0 -
Decogecko I admire your courage and hope you get those things to make you feel more content
Paperwork done for now, 2011 so far in a box which can be sealed at the end of January after I add the last bits. Financial plan made so all I need is something to come along and screw it up
Not quite sure if there is anything in particular I want to get done before 2012, I'll haave a think
I'm just about to join the grocery challenge if anyone wants to join me, going to try to get into the weekly mealplan routine tooOne day I might be more organised...........
