    Morning lovelies

Lots to do today as we are having an impromptu gathering for New Year today : Note to self, you are supposed to be leading by example and doing the lists not just writing them for other people:o

Thank you for all the congratulations for DD passing her driving test. She is a very happy girl. I managed to negotiate the insurance company down from $1200 to $707. DD1 now thinks I am a money saving genius - she is right (I learned it all from Martin Lewis):money:.

Oh tell me how, is this on her own car or on yours. I gave up with DS1 it was stupidly expensive.

Glad today is almost over (was 2 years ago today that my late OH was told he had a large tumor, Jan 8th we were told it was terminal - less than a year, 10 weeks later he died. Was ok last year not sure why I feel meh this year)

However my (full) ironing basket is sat looking at me and I plan to meet the challenge by completing it tomorrow morning

This year has been a vast improvement on last year (which was the hardest/ most painful of my life). I brought my house and got a job after moving back to my home town. I've learnt to look at what I've got, not what I don't (still not perfect at it but getting there!) and feel more contented.

For 2012 - I hope to get my chickens, get my veggie patch started & growth plenty of veg for myself, sort rest of the garden. Finish the lounge and look to re-doing the bathroom.

Hope 2012 is a great year for you all - health improves, finances improve.

    Love & light x

Ah you made me sad, you are doing so well hun and I hope all your hopes come true for 2012. Be really kind to yourself and stay on our thread please x

Newbies you are all putting us to shame with what you have achieved - well done :T

Just going to answer a couple of emails and then tidy the kitchen first and see what offerings we have for later.

Queen Victoria is horrified, she watched it all from her Royal Sofa.

Stupid fluff ball, Pickle, wandered out to take a sniff of it very gingerly.

Woody, was beaten up again last night so can hardly hobble.

It looks like birds of prey are my only hope. Acutally the Queen may bring in a frog later so I could go for a french themed evening.

ETA there is now an almighty magpie squabble going on.

Morning all!! Well after having my foot up almost all of yesterday it is feeling a little better and my toes now touch the floor again instead of hovering in mid air (very odd feeling!)

Have made and decluttered a fried egg sarnie (and bacon for OH) and am now regrouping while I decide what I can manage in the way of flying, the more I have my foot down the more it hurts grrrr!!!!

1step I had it in my heel first, struggled for ages then saw a podiatrist who made me some shoe inserts which solved the problem, he discharged me on 23rd December as the pain had gone.....then on 26th Dec......BAMM the pain flared up again, in a different place and 5 times worse...don't know what the long term prognosis and treatment is but yesterday I would have said yes to almost anything!!!

Right think I can manage wm x1 and possibly washing up so off I hobble...
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
