Recycling done and bins emptied... It appears that the recycling wasn't collected yesterday, just dumped in the black bin, so fished it out and put it back in the green bin. Not much else done as I spent the morning on the phone to a friend instead of working. My birthday present from OH has been delivered and I sneaked a look at the envelope so I know what it is :D but will save opening it until the day when hopefully he will be here...

Better shift the washing into the dryer, have lunch and then try to find some inspiration to get some work done!

DD1 stayed at the boyfriends last night so not sure when she's back. DD2's dad has been to look at the car and of course it was working fine!
DD2 has now gone shopping with her friends.
I've unloaded the airer, reloaded the airer, TD two loads and reloaded the WM with the girls school blazers. My bed has been stripped but can't remake it 'til DD2 gets home and removes all her junk from in front of the airing cupboard. If I touch it I'll be binning it!!
Lunch decluttered and DW is on.
Next Christmas's gift and spare present list updated :o and packed into a box to be packed into the attic.
Can't defluff and hoover my room 'til the christmas boxes have gone. DDs have to finish their room today as well, then that can be hoovered.

I'm off to find some cold and flu pills or maybe some lemsip and maybe a nap ;)

    I'm so cross.
I asked DS1 to check the recycling bin and bring it nearer to the house if it was empty. Guess what, he brought it in full.:mad:

I rang the council and they are closed until Wednesday.

Costco was torturous! People behave like such morons while shopping. And why oh why do they treat it like a family outing? Grrrrr:mad:

Any how, home now so need to get cracking. Doing a HHC from 3pm, catch me if you can.....

    Hiya lovelies!

MSG Give your OH a little slap around the head from me whilst he's asleep :D drive you batty don't they!

    Hiya Serena :hello: x

Well. I've been super-duper uber busy! Went down town first thing this morning for a few bits, the place was rammed! So made a swift exit. Came back and I:-

    took down the cards
emptied the xmas tree of ornaments
took said tree outside for recycling
    emptied the water stand
boxed up the decs and put away

    THEN I....

hoovered everything in the LR, under/over/behind
packed it all up into boxes  It's all done! :A
    hoovered again
    tidied the porch
put umpteen bags of rubbish in the bin
    emptied the DW
    reloaded it
    cleaned the kitchen
    hoovered the kitchen/diner
    wrote birthday cards
cleared the gibble on the DR table
    made dinner
    packed a few kitchen bits
sorted/cleared and packed up the understairs cupboard :A
    made a million brews

I've never stopped but it's been great fun :D:T

Off out tonight to have a meal and drinks with friends so need to have a shower and get ready and take littley to her nanas. Also managed to squeeze the outside freezer contents into the one in the kitchen, so that's switched off now woot! :money:

Valli Hope your Dad's ok. We had Grandad-in-law taken off in an Ambulance on Boxing Day, loads of things wrong with him (he's 86) but settled and sorted now I think. x

Doing switches and handles made me see that some rooms were not painted after house was re-wired 3 years ago!!!!! - I mean there is just plaster round new switches!!!!
Don't do ironing - did 2 HH paperwork instead
    Re-upholstered 3 dining chairs last night -
    will do 3 more to-day.
Will clear out stove and re-set for lighting later when friends come round.
Will blacken and polish hearth and stove.
Walked to shops for essentials - now back to tidying.
I'm glad I found this thread - I just flounder on my own - I really need the focus and guidance that this thread will give me.
