    Morning all,

    Holly - thats some list

Lazy morning here I need to sort out what food is required for the weekend and go get whats not already in the house shouldnt be too much as had planned most meals for the festive fortnight and did a big shop before christmas.

I have about an hours worth of ironing to clear but need to do a couple of WM loads so may have a few other bits but it will be cleared before bed tonight.

Main room to tackle in the New Year is the study it has become a dumping ground, will speak to OH and see if we can get it started sun/mon.

Going to start a HHC at 11.15 if anyone wants to join in.

    I just want a little rant . . . .

I'm annoyed about my family & friends attitude to the Christmas presents I buy.
I buy my presents through out the year, in the sales etc. I set a rough budget per person and spend 11 ish months doing it. So why do people try making me feel bad that I think about them and buy them "really good presents" as they call them ??
It's not like they don't know that there will be another Christmas this time next year! It doesn't exactly jump out on you does it?!

Sorry rant over, sometimes I just wonder why I bother. Maybe I should just do a selection box for the kids and a box of smellies for the adults

Still have lots to do but still feeling really rough :(
DD2's dad will be over in a bit to look at the car. My indicators aren't blinking :(

    Boxing Day

    S&S toilets and sinks
Get somebody to hoover high traffic areas

    Holiday Tuesday

Mop any floors which need it
    Clean your kitchen sink

Check the kids uniform, shoes, coats are clean
    Blazers left to wash

    Wednesday
Put away all wrapping paper, tags and cards until next year (noting where!)
    Must look at the sales

    Change a bed or 2
    Hoover upstairs/bedrooms
    S&S bathroom

Try to get at least 10 minutes fresh air

    Thursday

Clean out your fridge, and use up or get rid of all the leftovers
Wash, dry and iron any tablecloths, napkins etc
Water any plants, including real Christmas trees

    Clean the bathroom
If any of you have had new sock, pjs etc do you have old ones to get rid of?

What are your flying aims for 2012, share with us now
Do you still need to find a home for some presents?

Friday - last list of the Year

Tidy, tidy, tidy - it will make cleaning much easier
Clean WM/DW filters and put through on a clean cycle

HHPaperwork - I know it's boring but it needs to be done
Wipe handles and switches, door, cupboards anything aim for 10
    S&S sinks and loos

Count some blessings from the year gone by. 2011 has been the worse year for me and my girls and to be honest I can't wait for it to be over. I know 2012 it going to be hard money wise due to still being signed off but things can't get any worse . . . hopefully :o

Hello my lovelies, just had a reminder to pop in, must get back into the routine, used to be one of the first things I did!

Bills currently being sorted, trying not to get depresssed over them and just sort a plan. Then I want to get 2011s paperwork filed and away! Start with a clean filing cabinet and keep it organised.

Ok I'll give myself an hour with a coffee and see if I can get these bills in order .... I'll pop washer, dryer and dishwasher on first. Think I'll put the towels on the line to see if I can get them dry, I'll have to watch demon puppy who likes pulling things off the line!!! Got a chicken & quorn pieces curry in the slow cooker for tea so that's sorted
One day I might be more organised...........

Sounds like they're feeling guilty, Wendywitch, so are transferring their guilt on to you. Smile sweetly, tell them you put a lot of thought into it because you love and appreciate them so much, then change the subject. Smartly.

Dad's fine - you wouldn't know he'd been ill - thank you all for your good wishes!

Done s&s of the loo - DS brought a couple of mates in last night and one of them was unwell. DS denies this. DS must think I fell off the top of the tree ;)
Am wondering whether to bother with a bathroom clean or leave it (and kitchen) until tomorrow when they're going to their dad's (I hope). My bed stripped, duvet cover and all - eww moment - one of the cats upchucked a furball on the (cream - what WAS I thinking?) duvet while we were out over xmas. But because AF was here I just wiped it over as I have been known to manage to get all the bedding messy IYSWIM so I left it. I had sponged it off though...

Last list now posted and I've added the usual spiel to post 1 in an attempt to unconfuse people!

So lovely to have some oldies returning and new people too. Missing those absent at the moment, Toots, Lady Liberty, Serena, Triker, Poohbear, Crafty to name a few

:hello:I'm here! Hi to all my lovely flylady friends. I meant to wish you all a happy Chrustmas, but just didn't touch my laptop at all the last couple of weeks - bliss not to for once as I have to be pretty much permanently attached during the term.

I wasn't well last night so am recuperating on the sofa. Some light knitting and trashy novel keeping me company.

The livingroom is a complete pigsty, so I may be requesting a little help from the rest of the family when they emerge.

Love and hugs, especially for lady-liberty, toots and lamewolf, and any of our poorly flyladies.

Birthday presents all wrapped and hidden, going to pair up some so is now, then get on to the phone to Orange and see if I can gt the Internet back on, then crack on with the lists.
    I'll update in a bit x
  • Well is almost midday - where has the morning gone!!

This is what I've done so far....

Sort recycling/ composting (bins are overflowing). Check revised collection days
    Clean out fridge x2
    Clean your kitchen sink
Get kids to put away their presents (neatly) - work in progress
Change ALL the beds (kids will strip their own) - well I've yet to remake them:o
Wipe handles and switches, door, cupboards anything aim for 10 - did the whole kitchen :D

    Still to do...

    S&S toilets and sinks
    Hoover whole house
    Mop kitchen & bathroom floors
Get kids to clean their school shoes (rest of uniform is done)
Get DH to help DS sort his room ( DD's was done by me & her before Xmas & has stayed relatively tidy - its a miracle :T)
Put away all wrapping paper, tags and cards until next year (noting where!)
    Delete some emails, old links
    Recycle any Christmas catalogues etc
Wash, dry and iron any tablecloths, napkins etc

HHPaperwork - I know it's boring but it needs to be done. All my insurances run out on the 1/1 so I need to sort these.

Write a list of presents that need thank you notes
Phone somebody you forgot to send to or to thank them for their gift

Tidy, tidy, tidy - it will make cleaning much easier
HHI - some of you must be near the bottom of your pile now

HHPaperwork - I know it's boring but it needs to be done

Count some blessings from the year gone by.

Count me in for the Ironing challenge! - DS managed run into the lounge & send a glass of red flying up the cream curains so I have those to iron & rehang too. Luckily the stain did come out!

Update number 2 in an hour or so !
Also need to go out and get a lottery ticket for our work syndicate tonight - MUST NOT FORGET
