    Thursday

Clean out your fridge, and use up or get rid of all the leftovers All clean and tidy;:T there aren't any leftovers as such, but I do still have a small stock of root veggies and some onions, and 3 lumps of cheese plus some Stilton- this is good, as the Cheese Man won't be at the farmers market in January, so I want this to hold out til Feb if possible (if not, we can go to the Woburn farmers market on the 3rd Sunday, so not a major problem). My intention is to try JackieO's parsnip & apple soup recipe this weekend, if I'm well enough to stand at the cooker.:o

What are your flying aims for 2012, share with us now Well, in an ideal world, the lupus would go into complete remission, I'd be able to start my tasks as soon as Mr LW left for work, get my Flying done in the mornings, and have plenty of time for knitting, cross stitch, painting lead figures for Dungeons & Dragons, reading, and all the other stuff I'd love to do.:D:whistle:

Now back to reality - if I can get going by 10:00 it'd be good, and if I can get to the end of Level 3 AND have my Wii Fit done by say 16:00 each day, I could spend a little time the items mentioned.:o

Do I think this will actually happen? Hmmmm......:think::think::think:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

 Hi GnB - how is the course going? And how is your DD?

Our bedding stripped and washed, need to re-make that at least five minutes before bed time.

Valli, thinking of you and hoping your Dad feels better soon.

eta Lamewolf - I love your 2012 aims

    Evening all

Hi to all new people and familiar faces.
    Congrats to Mumto5's DD! :T
Thinking of you, Valli. What a scary thing to happen.
Keeping fingers crossed for your top of the list aim for 2012, LW.

I did my stuff at school, but the copier takes so long to do booklets that I've already organised an early start for Tuesday with DH. :(

We were off into town after a quick lunch and managed a few things. I've decided to delete what I've done. It's less satisfying than crossing out, but so much quicker.

    Boxing Day
Write a list of presents that need thank you notes
Phone somebody you forgot to send to or to thank them for their gift
    Holiday Tuesday
Mop any floors which need it
    Empty all bins
    Clean your kitchen sink
If you're doing the ironing challenge do a HHI today
    Wednesday
Put away all wrapping paper, tags and cards until next year (noting where!)
    Change a bed or 2
    Hoover upstairs/bedrooms
    S&S bathroom
HHI, come on you can clear that pile by the New Year
Try to get at least 10 minutes fresh air
    Thursday
Clean out your fridge, and use up or get rid of all the leftovers
Water any plants, including real Christmas trees
    Clean the bathroom
    HHI
Do you still need to find a home for some presents?
Friday - last list of the Year
Clean WM/DW filters and put through on a clean cycle
HHI - some of you must be near the bottom of your pile now
HHPaperwork - I know it's boring but it needs to be done
Wipe handles and switches, door, cupboards anything aim for 10
    S&S sinks and loos
Count some blessings from the year gone by.

    My list for this week:
work stuff (need write more detailed list for this)
write and start a declutter plan
HW with DS2 (make a plan)
collect numbing cream for DS2's blood test
    find health ins claim form
    check with NN for NYE
fill in DS2's passport renewal form
    phone Diamond

Flying aims for 2012: Turn into Superwoman (everything organised/up to date/clean and tidy - or within a couple of HHCs of it). Failing that, I want the house to improve by at least a fraction every day and not get worse. I'd like us to be able to have people round at short notice. I've started a toots list and will update/review it ast least monthly, so I can try to plan some tasks into the lists.

Off to do tea now, but I've got quite a few things planned for tonight.

Do you still need to find a home for some presents?

Feel really pleased I've achieved quite a bit today, the ironing pile is now non-existent:j
The laundry basket is nearly empty
DD hoovered downstairs and I dusted
My bedroom and ensuite has been thoroughly cleaned and tidied (and boy did it need it:o)

I'm now enjoying a nice glass of wine:D

My flying aims are to keep up the good habit of doing a bit each day and to avoid CHAOS at all costs so that I'm proud of my home;)

    Message for Newbies

I expect lots of lovely new people will be joining us over the next 2 weeks as this happens every year.

Please read the first page in full, including the link to Toots welcome message it should answer just about everything you need to know

Feel free to ask questions, after reading the first post;)

They is no need to 'join' just starting posting. We don't want you to crash and burn so take it easy.

JulieJim and I take it in turns to start the new thread on a Sunday evening and a link will be posted at the end of the previous weeks thread. We update the first post each night with the next day's tasks.

    Welcome to you all.
I must be doing something wrong cos when I go to first post I get the Christmas week - and no sign of Toots welcome. Where do I get the first post with all the info please?

  • Hello! :hello:
I have been awol since Friday. I managed to get everything ready for Christmas :jBut my enthusiasm waned somewhat when DH left on Christmas eve for work. Christmas day was quiet. had dinner here with my 3 children, my mum & step dad. Then me & the kids went to MILs later. SIL wound us up a bit, but I won't go there! :p (lazy moo!!)
DH came home on Tuesday, so DD1 did xmas dinner take 2 :T
I haven't done [STRIKE]much[/STRIKE] any flying :o I went to the docs this morning to have a steroid injection in my shoulder. She wasn't that optimistic about it working, as I have left it a bit long :o She told me to rest it for 48 hours. unfortunately, I made the mistake of stripping my bed this morning before I went  I have managed to put the sheet & pillowcases back on, and DD1 is going to help me with the duvet. She made dinner aswell :T

That sounds like a plan! I think I need to make sure i deal with paperwork straight away (not procrastinating!!), and keep up to date with my uni work. Oh, and eat better/drink more water :o We are planning a holiday in August, and I want to be a LOT smaller!!

    I think I will fly tomorrow..... :D
