shortie - HHI Half Hour Iron we tend to break jobs/tasks into half hour slots seems to get them finished quicker than one big slot.

    mumto5 - well done to your DD:T:T

I am going to start tackling the ironing if anyone wants to join me at 11, its mainly OH work shirts which I hate but will do a few at a time. Also need to sort out the beds for friends staying over on hogmany and check that i have all food/drink in for them.

    Congratulations to Mumto5's DD.

Sorry to hear you've not been too good LW.

OK. Plan for today, now that Mr B has been despatched to work, and the cooker man has been, gone, and I have a nearly working cooker !!!! is to disappear off to the Gym for an hour, visiting Mr W's on the way back as very nice relative who hadn't been able to do any Christmas shopping at all gave us a nice cheque, and as she usually buys us some nice foody items, I thought she might appreciate it if I spent some of it on nice foody items anyway. After that it's time to attach the dog fluff which appears to be breeding, quick tidy round, then a good session with TV recordings and the ironing mountain, possibly breaking to check out somewhere new for some pennies which are currently earning a very non-MSE rate of interest.

At some time I need to find something to do with some sweet potatoes, which are currently doing nothing at all in my veg rack.

AAAhhhhhhh thanks jjef! I quite like ironing but I fold things really carefully to minimise the need as I usually have a million and one other things to spend the time on, lol... so I actually have none right now (yay!). But good to know the meaning, ta!

  • just a quick update, downstairs is still presentable - just the floors needing hoovering, spare room is done bar the bed as will need changing before we have guests as DH and i took it in turns to be up with Ben last night so we could each get a decent chunk of sleep.

our room still needs the bed stripping but thats going to wait as i have a mountain of washing to do. On the plus side with the washing front Ive bit the bullet and ordered a steam press iron. Im thinking its going to save me money in the long run instead of sending my ironing out to be done, so it should pay for itself in 3 months :D

Ben is doing well and growing so much, he is likely to be out of his moses basket in the next month the only downside is he is eating so much. Breastfeeding didnt work as he wouldnt latch on right so now on formula but he is taking 4 - 5ozs every 3 hours or so, hence DH and I tag teaming for sleep through the night.

Right im off to get dressed and chuck some washing in as Bens sleeping and DH has gone into town to register him and pick up some bits that we need.
