Well Done to Mumto5's DD :T bet she's still grinning like a Cheshire Cat :D

    Welcome new people :hello:

Well I went back to bed for an hour or so earlier on, much needed methinks. Since then I've boxed up all the shoes from the 'collapsed in a heap' shoe rack in the downstairs loo, we can use them out of it then just tape it up when we move out, I also cleaned the loo and swept the grotty floor, there was sand? lol

DW is loaded and on. Gonna see if I can squeeze the remainders of xmas food from the outside chest freezer into the one in the kitchen. It's old and was only switched on to house the extra festive grub but it's eating the electric  will probs have to give DD1 some tonight when she comes over.

Umming and arring whether or not to take the tree down, it's so lovely, but it's in my way now :( I've got my packing head on and I can store boxes where the tree now sits. Cards will stay up for a while though, they're so pretty.

Itching to pack-up the wall unit, LR will only take 30mins tops to pack and that's with bubble wrapping a few breakables so maybe I should just leave it for a while.......who wants to take bets on it being done by the end of the day :rotfl:I could do under the stairs then that's sorted. Will make a brew and ponder.

    :dance::dance::dance: Excellent news - CONGRATULATIONS to her:beer:
Sidney's going home this afternoon, so I've been packing up his suitcases. Yes, plural - he brought two! In fairness, one's for his bed, in case it rains getting his stuff into the car, as it's a soft felty-type material bed; that's still got to be packed, as has his towel, coat, water bowl, half a tin of meat and his insulin (these last are in the fridge).:o

He's had a 45 minute walk this morning- I shall take him for his 30- minute lunchtime walk shortly, then his towel and coat can be packed; I've had trouble with my shoulder again, too (awake all night with it again!!) so been clearing some email this morning.;)

List-wise, much of today's is N/A here - I just need to tidy/wipe out the fridge, which I'll do when Sid's gone home, and think what I want to achieve Flying-wise next year. I sort of know in my own mind, but don't know how to write it to make sense to others, iyswim.:o

    Oh yes, WELCOME new Flyers.

Mumto5 Well done to your DD..:T:T:T

Our bed is stripped and will go in the wash next. All christmas cards down and i think i'll pack the tree up tonight. My plan is to have one part of the attic that is just for the Christmas stuff and then next year it won't be so hard to find everything.

Clean clothes all put away, dirty washing all in piles. Must get DS1's coat washed it will be needed tomorrow. Car needs a good clean out for tomorrow too, OH can give me a hand when he gets home. :D

Back hall looking loads better so i'll go get the livingroom sorted and set the fire up for later...
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Afternoon all

I've cleaned the bathroom and toilet this morning and put out my new bubble bath and body cream. DD2 bought me the ginger one from Body Shop. I'm not sure about it.....

Fridge is pretty organised, we finished up the gammon last night for tea. Still got cream left but it's dated 2nd Jan so we'll work on that over the weekend. I hardly ever have cream so I don't want to waste it.

This morning I made some soup for lunch when DH comes in to use up some odd bits of veg.

Did some washing which was out for a couple of hours blowing well but luckily I got it back in before the rain and it's draped round indoors now.

Oh, and I've written next year's birthdays on my new calendar but not put it up yet, that feels like bad luck which I know is completely irrational.
  • Afternoon all

Hope you are all well and had a peaceful Christmas? I have been missing in action over the last few weeks as struggling with work and home life - builders not helping matters! But I am back again as I really want to follow the lists next year.

I took DS and DD over to old house yesterday and we brought everything down from the loft and I have taken DD back there today as her room is still covered in carp that needs to be cleared before I can clean before the house goes on the market. So a little progress made but it seems like a drop in the ocean.

At the new house I have painted the bathroom/study and bedroom...put up lights in the kitchen/ had wardrobes completed in all rooms (just waiting for doors in DS one) Emptied 8 boxes of DD's and tried to clear main rooms to enable parents to stay over Christmas. Also bought flooring for new bedroom and most of the insulation for the roof - 10 rolls bought and builders say I need another 5 (but house is warmer already)

MUST MUST MUST get a handle on the expanding paperwork - I have no idea what bills go out when and need to set up a spread sheet thing - Have tried before but nothing seems to work. Have masses of filing to do and must still sort out probate for DS and DD's father. - I hate paperwork - it scares me!!:o:eek:

Will sort out the Christmas left overs tonight when back from work as I am sure the last of the meat has gone off!

Not sure I'd want to smell of ginger but then I don't like lots smells, why would anybody want to smell of strawberries either.

In the middle of making carrot and lentil soup, emptying the WM and washing up then time for a cuppa to enjoy my HH peace.
