But hey don't underestimate resisting starbucks. I have :jjust as much difficulty saying no to a soya latte (foamy yumminess) as i have saying no to gran can:rotfl: actually, its HARDER as you want to say that its only £3....
mmmm that foamy yumminess! I don't think all this talk of food is good for our waistlines or our wallets!!
I did have a bagel and take out coffee for my breakfast this morning, but it was my little treat... I only do it once a week at the most and if I can resist I do! Spent 91.72 out of a food budget of 120 so far this month... 76% of the way through the budget, only 72% of the way throught the month. Anyone else this obsessive?!
Baked beans for me tonight... (but it was worth it!)Debt at highest Nov '06 £17,822.98
Debt at LBM Nov '07 £14,231.63
DEBT FREE as of 01/01/09 now I have savings!!0 -
Beautiful day for a dfw. I am pleased to report that my Debt shunk overnight
Thanks to the lovely tax office and also thanks to my frugality over the last , well, now two weeks, my debt is now:
HSBC credit card: £1880.45
American express: £509.19
M&S CC: £1200.09
Total debt: £3589.73.
(debt at LBM: £5200, debt at highest: £5500 and that was AFTER LBM!!!)
Assets:
Savings account: £33.70. (I know many of you here say I don’t need savings, I should just throw it at the debt. But that little interest that it will save me, maybe a pound a month, is not a lot and I am buying the peace of mind with it, knowing that worst comes to worst I have actual, positive money on the savings account.)
ShareSaving deal: £408 saved. Can't touch it until Jan 2010 or I lose the interest and the amazing share options BUT I know that if I HAD to withdraw it, it could offset some of my debt so it still counts as an asset.
Current account: £1.84 - this is awful but today I hopefully get £20 which is what a friend owes me so that will be enough until paydy
Debt in theory (actual debt minus savings that can be used to pay it off if really wanted): £3123 (but I wont use this figure, this is just for me to be happy about…)
So, actual debt again: £3589.73.
This means I have paid off 35.5% of my debt. YAY!
Total debt £3625.07.

Hey! How's it going?
Just read your whole thread (yes all of it) and wow! What a turnaround.
You've done a great job of getting back on track. I haven't had any DVDs since your I'm not trying enough thread so thanks for that!
My last day at work today. I have another 13 minutes and then I'm off home to start packing! Am getting quite excited now.
Only problem is I have to go shopping tomorrow so I look presentable at my new job and I hope I don't go crazy and spend way too much!!! I know I will be really tempted as I haven't been shopping in ages.
At least I can't spend money I don't have as my OD and CC have both been cancelled. So that's good I suppose.
And I've just got the money for the car so that's good too!!! :j :j :j
