I know, but why do you have to be right
it would be sooo easy now just to turn the computer off and say "whatever, they dont know me, they dont know anyway, i can pay it off and i wont end up in debt again - but the truth is, you do, and i can't, if i dont watch what i spend on... and I will:(:(:(:(
i guess it's a no to gran canaria, so far 2 votes for no and the worst thing in the world is that you are starting to convince me. thats actually funny. maybe i am becoming a real dfw. maybe i am growing upTotal debt £3625.07.

It's not a 'no' to Gran Canaria, it's just a 'not yet'.
Why don't you play around with the snowball calculator and see what it would do to your DFD if you use the whole lot for debt repayment? It might help you make up your mind.
Your friend does sound lovely, and I'm sure she would understand if you told her you can't go away just at the moment, but you would love to go away with her in a few months."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Snaggles - thats it absolutely! None of us are saying no - just that you could do better doing it later in the year when you've saved. I'm only going to Malta with my OH (paying my half) as I have this in savings. I would feel so much pain going on holiday if I was adding to my debt I just wouldn't enjoy it. I'd always be thinking about the expense of every meal and excursion.
You will enjoy it so much more having paid off at least 20% (30/40% or more by then!) of your debt AND having saved for the holiday in September time that its worth the wait!0 -
Snaggles/Catt - I just talked to her and said no. She was said, but I feel ok. I can't wait till my cheque clears. I have a really nice warm feeling about it. I guess my debt will drop to £3600 ish. Which is fantastic! Especially that payday is coming (well, coming... tenth of March.....) and that will chip away another lot.
Now I have £1.21 to last me for today, tomorrow, friday (i got dinner on fri and lunch on sat already, for free) sat and sun. NOW thats a challenge!!!! then on mon i will withdraw £20, ten to go on my work card, ten for spending as I have committed myself to go to a club on tues where its a £5 entry fee.... so £5 club, £5 to spend. That'll be nice. Sunday party is freeTotal debt £3625.07.

Just under 5'6" So your 'healthy' weight range is 58Kg to 70Kg, so you're already in it. 55Kg would be underweigth for your height - you don't want to make yourself ill again!
