I had pizza yesterday and noodles for dinner, spent £35, ate shedloads, feeling fat and a failure, and it's all my fault.

First thing you need to do, is stop attaching emotional feelings to food and using it as an excuse to beat yourself up and assign feelings of failure.
Putting things in your mouth, or not putting things in your mouth is not a failure, it's just something to improve upon.
And the same goes for food..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

And the same goes for food...ow. I am not even sure what you mean
But you're right. Yesterday I had an indulgence session as well (chocolate, potato sticks...) but that was at least free. Oh and the jelly babies. But today I will be back to normal.
As for spending, my friend and I want to head off to gran canaria for a weekend, it would be about £335. Should I do it? I reallyy really need a holiday. I know its not cheap but gosh i need it, just to get away from it all... i could put it on my amex and pay it back on the 10th of March....

I would say to think about this one really hard.
I hope this doesn't come across as mean, because I really enjoy your diary and am cheering you on. But... you do have a tendancy to organise / buy expensive things on the spur of the moment, and then beat yourself up about it afterwards. And once you fall of the wagon a bit, it's easy to think 'I've blown in now, I might as well carry on spending'.
So maybe if you do decide to go, you should draw out holiday money in cash, or say to your friend 'I'm trying to save up for a deposit on a flat, please remind me of this if I want to go skydiving / scuba diving / anything else expensive'.
It's true that this is your long-term aim, and I know, that like so many of us (me included) you don't like to tell everyone about your debts. This is a great way to say 'I'm not going to spend a fortune but it's not because I'm tight, it's because I have a good reason'.
If you really feel you need it organise the date well in advance and then
1) you know you will not regret it as a whim you should have controlled
2) you will have time to search for the very best deal (not necessarily cheap, just value for money)
3) you will be able to look forward to it for ages. The problem with spur of the moment things is they're over so suddenly because there's no build up. You could even budget for this one and pay 'real money' out of your savings fund instead of credit as a reward for all your hard work.
Hope you're having a nice day generally. I thought of you as I walked past my favourite coffee place and I didn't go in :j It was so hard but I thought, no, what would they all say wasting £2.05! This really gets addictive doesn't it?!

£335 on a WEEKEND in Gran Canaria? I've just paid £285 for a week in Malta in April. You can have a weekend in a Travelodge somewhere nice for under £60. Think about how bad you're going to feel when you have to pay it back in March and think about what else you could pay off with that money!0

I tend to agree I'm afraid - it's such a lot of money to spend on one weekend. Part of the reason you were so angry with yourself when you came back was that you had spent money on things like holidays, and I would hate to see you feeling that way all over again.
Temptation is, well, pretty tempting, but you have proved you can resist it. I would think very carefully about it, and read through your 'I'm not trying hard' post again, because that was so inspirational.
What about setting youself a target to get yourself debt free and then save up enough to go away for a full week - it would be a great incentive.
Really sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, but I hope you know I am thinking of you, and not just being mean!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
