Don't worry so much about the gym while you're doing your bike riding.
And jam porridge is far, far, far better than any chocolate you may eat to cheer yourself up..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I just checked the distance between home and work. According to multimap, it's only 5.54 kilometres!!! That's not a lot, eh?
well won't eat jam porridge again, didn't like it that much. I like savoury foods, pretzels...Total debt £3625.07.

Actually your thought on being asleep isn't burning calories is incorrect (well sort of) Those people who get a good nights sleep and are fully rested actually burn calories and fat more efficiently during the day than those who don't sleep well/or for long enough. Your bosy needs rest - even if you exercised 23 hours a day your body would store fat aas it thinks it needs the extra energy stores.
I bet you are far from overweight anyway! (((hugs)))

Hi Deliciosa,
I just found your thread at the beginning of the week, and I’m afraid I’ve done very little work ever since as I’ve been so desperate to read the whole thing! It was like a novel. Anyway, I finally got to the present day, so I just wanted to say ‘hello’. I’ve followed so many twists and turns I feel like I know you! I was so sad to see that you stopped coming here; and then so glad when you decided to come back!! :T
Anyway, we’re in a similar situation, I’m 25 and owe a similar amount to you on credit cards, although I’ve got an overdraft on top of that. I’ve got a personal loan to pay off as well! But that was money I borrowed to spend on doing my flat up, and the estate agent says it has more than paid for itself. Still debt hanging over me though.
Like you, I am aiming to have all the credit cards paid off by the end of the year. It will mean about £450 a month, which is really hard work!! And I am also trying to stay away from Starbucks. One thing though (and this isn’t meant to encourage you, but if you’re going to have them occasionally anyway…) if you buy one of their branded takeaway mugs (about £5.99), everytime you use it they give you 15p off. And the barista told me the other day the discount was going up soon! I originally bought one because I felt bad about throwing all the cups away (yes, as well as spending guilt I’ve got the green-guilt bad), but it’s kind of money saving as well.
Well, I just wanted to say hi, and hopefully we can encourage one another in our goal of paying it all off by the end of the year. I only had my lightbulb moment (really) in November, so I’m still pretty new to all this.
Good luck

Thanks for your reply and sorry I took a ferw days to get back to you - got sidetracked especailly by your conversation with ZTD, LOL!
I was going right back to your first post on this thread, before you had a bit of a windfall and put that towards your debt. I think your amount is from after that? Though I'm not someone that can hold figures in her head so am not always reliable about this!
Anyway what matters is that you have stopped the slide and got yourself a plan to climb out of it, aided and abetted (however you spell that) with baguettes. When I looked back, you got quite ill, so I'm soooo pleased you're not going that way this year. (Mind you I shall be keeping an eye on you me dear
