Boots 1/2 Price Sale

Bought two Dior boxsets for me at 1/3 off, as it meant I could buy 50ml bottles for slightly less than the price of a 30ml bottle. Got Euphoria at 1/2 off for OH, Boss Bottled at 1/3 off, plus a 100ml bottle of 1881 for 1/3 off (no sign of the 25ml boxsets which were £8.50 - expect to see a few of these turning up on eBay soon!) These were the first perfumes/aftershaves we've bought in 2 years - and are now set for the next two years

That was it (apart from some hair mousse and a new pair of Bourjois tweezer!)

Seeing as this was only about my 5th visit to Boots in 2011, I would also say that I am cured! I stock up on No7 powder when my mum gets a stash of £5 vouchers, and I get the 17 concealers when there's a voucher in the ACM machine. The rest of the time I don't bother. The quality has gone downhill on a lot of things and the prices have gone up.

I bought amazing things in the Boots sale last year, which I used as presents this year. Half price Brio toys and and all sorts. I was very disappointed with what they had on offer this year. Lakeland too had very poor pickings. I normally spend about £200 in the online boxing day sale with Lakeland. There wasn't much there this year that I'd take if they paid me!

Went to Boots yesterday and they had quite a bit on the shelves. Bought Birthday presents for both daughters and got myself a set of hair products (James Brown full size shampoo, conditioner, mousse and hairspray with 4 large velcro rollers) plus some fragrance sets were 1/2 price so treated myself to a Viva la Juicy set with my points (was £48 but got for £24) It was very quiet though. There was some soap and glory sets but not a great deal of variety.

I only wanted Dior perfume but i did not see any boxsets in my local store. Was disappointed but i will wait for 75% off and try not buy at 50%

I went to my local store in Harlow earlier and managed to get everything I wanted whi h was quite surprising

I couldn't believe the amount of soap and glory sets! A whole row/shelf of the hand wash and lotion and atleast 3 shelves of the big round boxes with an apron and hand and foot stuff in it. Obviously not very popular lol

I bought one of the soap and glory hand wash sets, 2 lynx Africa sets and 2 lipsy make up sets for £19, that's a few January birthdays sorted

Mine arrived today too,also ordered christmas eve,all next years birthdays sorted & some of christmas too

Went to boots today very disappointed with the sale, hardly any toys were included in the sale, most toys were excluded from the sale. I know last year there was some toys excluded from the sale but not as many as this year.

Just finished shopping at York Monks Cross Boots. Loads of stock available from the 2011 Christmas catalogue; Strictly sets, No7 make-up and bathing sets, No 17 make-up sets, Ceilia Bertwell gifts, Lipsy, Totes, Soap & Glory make-up sets and the pink tin with the apron, hand food (?) and body scrub, Jamie Oliver products, Gu products, various other foodie sets & products, reduced children's clothing and toys, Christmas cards / wrap / tags etc to name but a few. Good stocks of reduced fragrance sets; YSL, Diesel, Gucci, Calvin Klien, Chloe etc, etc. Also some heavily reduced Estee Lauder/Clinique/Lancome gift sets left. Unbelievable! Never seen so much stock at this point of the sale. Had a good shop but used all of my points up aside from on one item. That's a few birthday and Christmas presents sorted for 2012

Word of caution, I had a red face when a friend opened up her No. 17 cosmetic case which I bought in last year's sale as it contained a promotion which expired in February 2011. As they put plastic ties in the zip you can't see if there are any tell tale signs that you've bought them in the sale the previous year.
