 I thought we were all quite civilised this morning, we had a couple of people with shopping trolleys (you know the wheel along things, not supermarket trolleys) but no-one was pushing or name calling!

That is the one thing I really would have liked (if I'm thinking of the same set, was it in a blue washbag?) as I've got all the other sets with the same colour blue bags and would have liked the washbag to match! But there was none of them at the Boots I went to :(

There were tons in my Boots but only got 2 for gifts wish I had got more, I even popped into my small branch at lunchtime to see if they had them but unfotunaley they didn't I was thinking about popping back tomorrow but will probably be wasting my time as the place was really busy when I left and as I went to get the lift back to my car it came down full of girls crammed in like sardines heading there :)
  • First time ever I have been to a 75% sale and I have to say it was an experience. I decided to go for the Merry Hill branch!

From what I have read I saw all the classic 75% sale habits, people with trolleys (which I think should be banned as people cannot get down aisles), people with 5-10 of the same items (blatently selling the products on), some rude people and some polite people!

No ikea bags however but Merry Hill already had the large carriers similar to ikeas anyway.

Glad I went I spent £100 which is more than I anticipated but when you look at the amount of items you pick up its worth it...right?

I managed to get all the birthday and christmas presents for this year!

Merry Hill had alot of strictly, fearne, hello kitty, no 7, mugs, gift wrap, hair sets, kids toys, 17, lindt santas, botanics sets, biscuit tins but no mens however!

After dropping off my stuff to the car I did resist going back for more, but I have to admit the thought did cross my mind.

Hope everyone got what they wanted!

    Now when's the 90% sale...just kidding!

Had to laugh at KP though. There were about 8 of us and when the door opened we just strolled in ....apart from the hardcore shopper amongst us who ran down the aisle towards the sale, brandishing........a blue ikea bag! :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh that made me giggle, I can just picture it! :D

So was I! Were you the blonde lady having a fag outside at opening time (taking my lead from your user name!?) I was there with my friend and my daughter..2nd in line!

    Yes! :T:rotfl:

Wasn't the lady who ran in ahead of us funny?! I didn't know if she was going to cry or punch someone, she was so serious!

    X

  • When I was paying it all went a bit wrong as they had run out of trolleys and a lady approached me who looked very manic and asked where I'd got my trolley from and if I still needed it - before I could answer she proceeded to try and wheel it off with DD still in it! (she's only 7 months perhaps she missed her, lol!)
Anyway needless to say I retrieved trolley and DD and gave my finished with trolley to the lady in the trolley queue :rotfl:- there was a queue for the trolleys by 9.15am.

omg:eek: now thats a true case of boots fever:rotfl::rotfl:

  • Just want to say thanks for the heads up got loads of amazing bargains. Think boots should limit the amount of each products people can buy as there was a few people with about 20 blue bags each where they had taken the whole box of items etc just greedy. Hope you all got a bargain :)
