  • Been to Merry Hill at 930 this morning and there was quite a bit of stuff, but all the same things. No soap and glory or sanctuary stuff. Alot of the liberty kitty and storage boxes. No toys left somebody had 2 trolleys full :(

Bull ring and Birmingham city centre was just empty at 1130, spent 10quid.

Couldnt get any mens stuff from anywhere
  • Got to Bluewater at 9.40 after the school run and people already coming out laden and queuing with piled high trolleys. It seems they opened at 8.00am.

Thanks you saved me a wasted journey & no I don't go there much but thought it may be one of the less busy East London stores :D

Yes, I was very disappointed with it> Last year they had a very few bits at Jubilee Place but every year it sems to get less - as you may have seen I'm an Essex girl so took AL from work and went to lakeside - I had a great time, but then I'm a pretty hardcore shopper - LOL - but very polite may I add and I even helped people out by passing them things. People were lookin in others baskets and asking where they could find stuff. All good natured. Well mainly....I was in and out in 30 mins. Might have been a riot after I left like Bluewater sounded like!

The staff had also spread out the stuff well over the store so not as many bottle neck areas as some stores. As they opened the shutter all the Sanctuary stuff was there, then there was another section in the back so it split people up. Well done to the staff there.:T

I'm gonna miss this thread but it's been so nice to see people are still nice and can take the time out to report back here to others and share important shopping information!! I'm sure its saved more than a few disappointing trips out.
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Thanks to all on here for their knowledge!!

Got some nice things - i did overspend even though i got there 1 hour after. Somebody at 8am already had swiped everything and had cages lines up for them.....a bit disappointed in that because i am sure there was some lovely stuff we all could have had and shared rather than 1 person taking it all.

Oh well....that is life i guess.....and ebay will have lots of boots goodies up for sale tomorrow!

well that's me all sorted -have DH B/D next week so wrapped his and DS's is 2 weeks later so wrapped his bits too ( only toiletries / hair/ male grooming bits as keeps my weekly spend on that down)! not normally so organised but wanted to hide away and thought easier to stash all wrapped! xmas stocking stuff for my boys is all in loft , moters day / fathers day and the odd gift 4 xmas for next door ( as they feed cat when we away) is also in loft. I hope now not to spend until my hols at Easter ( other than a couple of friends kids who will give B/D money to- if i gave a boots gift they wouln't be too happy as can't spend in Jack Wills or Hollister) next time i spend will $ in USA!!!:rotfl:I did enjoy boots today , but hope to shop on hols for next years stash!!! and some of Boots stuff getting a bit same-y :rotfl:
:money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:
  • Got into Poole around 8.15 there was a small queue, doors opened early at around 8.20 and all was very civilised, I managed to get everything I wanted spent £100 and got lots of gifts to last till the next 75% day, I only wish I had purchased more of the No7 bags containing around 8/9 items originally £26 and down to £6.25, I couldnt believe they had a P&P eye cream in them which I use all the time and it costs me between £19 and £21 a time unless there is an offer on, I'm one happy bunny :j :j :j

  • Hi all, I went to the Oracle store this morning in Reading. Got there after school run at 5 to 9 and there must have been about 10-15 people. The crowd was slowly growing, and when the shutters went up we all did the 'run-but-not-running' thing and hopped onto Escalator to first floor where all Christmas stock was. There was an ok amount (about 4 isles), with a selection of stock (mainly Hello Kitty Liberty sets, some Santuary bits, a few S&G tins, Botanics sets, mugs, hook set, birdcage mirror, Strictly eye kits, There were a fair few toys too (but I didn't pay much attention to these as I didn't really need these). It was all quite civilized although very busy ! Stock
was going fast. I managed to get most of what I wanted :

    Sanctuary orange bag sets
    FCUK small purse sets
    Hello Kitty lipglosses
    Hello Kitty nailset
    Lipsy nail set
    Strictly Come Dancing Nail set
    Jewellery box
    FCUK clutch bag set
    Mugs (2-pack)
    No7 Lip Palletes
    Dora toy
    Star Wars toy
    FCUK Scarf set

Then went to Broad Street branch and there wasn't much left here to be honest (this branch opened at 8am and I heard some of the people at Oracle branch at 9am saying they'd already gone to Broad Street and Oracle was their second store of the day). Still I managed to get a few bits that they didn't have at Oracle :

    No7 Bath/Body Set
    Ted Baker flask/body spray
    Crackers

So I am really happy (pressie stash has been replenished and I got some bits for me too).

This is less than I normally get though, as I resisted a lot of stuff (picked it up and then thought 'do I really need this' and put it down again). And like other shoppers I was so tempted to go in again and have a look after I dropped off the bags in car, but was really good and didn't.

Thank you to everyone for their brilliant posts on here over last few days/weeks advising us of stock levels of various stores, it has been really helpful in deciding if and where to go (I didn't go to Maidenhead in end as I have done in previous years, I was happy with the things I got and didn't want anymore, blimey, did I just say that ???? hubby will think I'm not well !!!!!).
  • HI
I went to my local Boots in Fleet ... got a few bits but there was 2 ladies who bought trolleys in and got most of the shelves clear before anyone else had a chance.... dont think it should be allowed

That is the one thing I really would have liked (if I'm thinking of the same set, was it in a blue washbag?) as I've got all the other sets with the same colour blue bags and would have liked the washbag to match! But there was none of them at the Boots I went to :(
