Boots 1/2 Price Sale

I've stopped going to the Boots in Milton Keynes 75% sale. Every year they let a guy come in and buy up whole shelves of stuff in one go. If you go to take something off the shelf the Boots staff actually tell you that it has been purchased by this guy! He has a huge trolly and gets the staff to load it up. It makes me so angry. There should be a limit to how much you can buy one one day.
I was there for opening at 8:30 this morning and didn't see this happening. Lots of people with multiple baskets/bags as to be expected (including the people discussing their eBay stashes) but on the whole very civilised. Managed to get two food sets (jam/bread and lasagne), a No7 palette and two S&G tins - but they were hidden away and going quickly. Just nipped to the smaller Westcroft store at lunch and they have lots of S&G on the bottom shelves but not much else - hopefully useful if you're in the area though!:heartpuls Married the Man of my Dreams on Friday 8th April 2011 :heartpuls:female: Little Lady Due Friday 8th July 2016 :female:0 -
Forgot to use my double points voucher this morning on my 75% off items. If I go back into the store or maybe the smaller store near me, do you think Boots would take it off for me??0

Can anyone please tell me what stock levels are like in Newport, Gwent, town centre store please.
Is it worth going in after work at 5pm or not???
For anyone who's thinking on Caerphilly town, very little stock left, lots of Blue Eyed Girl sets and Hello Kitty but no major must haves (S & G, GOK, No. & etc)
In regards to Newport:
Went early this morning and got a lot. Popped back in at about ten thirty and not much left. Lots of wrapping paper, little bits of the smaller no7 sets, strictly, project d. There was quite a bit of front cover and actually some S&G still on the shelf!0 -

Has anyone been to either prices street, fort kinnaird or cameron toll in edinburgh? Want to grab some things, but unsure which one to go to.
I was at Fort Kinnaird by 9am, and it had already been open for half an hour. There was plenty of stuff left on the shelves then, lots of the big S&G tins, Sanctuary etc etc. It was perfectly civilised too, lots of shoppers and trollies yes but everyone seemed pretty relaxed. Might have been different at 8.35am though!
By the time I left at 10am though the sheves were looking a lot emptier. There was still a fair amount left but it was still busy, so I'd get there pdq if I were you.
I bought £160 worth of stuff for £40, used a 250 point coupon + a double points one, dropped my stuff back in the car then went back to spend all the points I had, which was only another £20 or so. I bought half a dozen girly pressies for when DD gets asked to birthday parties, some things for her when her 11th birthday comes round, one of the tin Fairtrade hampers (I liked the tin), a garden tool set, because it's good sturdy stuff, some stocking fillers for next Christmas and a few other odds and sods. I was very pleased with my haul, I got pretty well everything I wanted and a few more bits besides. I haven't been Bootsing much this year so I don't even know exactly what they had in for Christmas and I don't feel the need to go traipsing round the other branches. Very satisfying morning, all in all. :TVal.0 -
Well I'm back from my spree, took Hubby and my 2 toddlers (no buggy). Brave or what!
Got 4 x soap and glory tins, one for me, one for my present cupboard and 2 for my mother
A few different sets of things for the present cupboard.
Peppa pig figure set
2 x crayola paint things for kiddies
4 x chocolate coins for the kiddies (half have now been snaffled)
A lunch box tin to use for my make-up
Make-up for SIL's birthday tomorrow and a mug for FIL's birthday on Friday.
Spent £66 (saved? £198 though technically not)
Very happy! And the kids were well behaved too. Nearly lost them at one point as it was MADNESS and I had a blue bag, hubby had a blue bag and we had to hold onto the girls (ages 2 and 3!)0 -

I went to my nearest tiny store straight after the school run and managed to get two Ted Baker vanity cases and two royal jelly sets (£10 and £4.00), a couple of soap and hand wash sets, some guest soaps and the only Soap and Glory tin on the shelf. Then went onto Birmingham Fort it was heaving at 9.45ish with not much worth buying on the shelves - did get a Thomas kids toiletry set £1.50, pet blanket £3.00, some room fresheners £2.00, a Duplo set £3.75, a Dr Who toy £6.25 spent just over £15.00 in points and £4.00 cash.0
