  • I had loads of stuff too - spent £89. All of my stuff was for personal use though as opposed to those buying multiples of many sets so clearly selling on. Multiples of one set could be party bags etc but multiples of many sets must be for business use. Everyone is entitled to do as they please, it justs feels a little unfair (stinks) when you see it in practice. v. surprised at the MK story - can't believe Boots support wholesaling their stock whilst it is still on the shelves.

I quite agree, the MK thing sounds awful - maybe people in the area could get together and send complaint to store and management? I wonder if HO are aware of this? would be tempted to peacefully protest outside store next sale time, seems really unfair if they are stopping customers buying so one bloke can!? can they actually stop you putting an item in your basket if it it on shelf for purchase? may be worth checking with consumer or trading standards
  • Back from Boots in Gloucester, lots of Project D sets, Sanctuary boxes/vanity cases, a couple of fcuk boxes, front cover lip gloss sets and compact eye shadow sets. Not alot in the way of toys but managed to get a few mega bloks sets for £3.

Just come back from Teesside Park - only got about 3 bits, quite a bit of FCUK stuff left, and Royal Jelly - possibly Soap and Glory (are they the sets in the garish cases) Botantics, and the Natural (?) stuff, Dove stuff was all but gone, she was bringing the large sets out but they were going straight away - some sanctury stuff, No toys, I don't think they had any today as there was none last week, Maybe it is all at Middlesbrough? A few gifts, lots of the photo stuff

Didn't seem too bad - a bit busy but civilised, I got there gone 9 though (after school run) and people were walking out with bags full

I was probably one of them although I only had 1 ikea bag full and mainly of the sanctuary big boxes. Could have taken loads but what's the point? Got what I needed for presents and anything else would just be greedy and a waste of money

  • Managed to go to Lowestoft store this morning, got there about an hour after opening due to school run and it was mayhem upstairs. Unfortunately had to take toddler in pushchair but everyone was being very considerate. Managed to pick up quite a few bits, fcuk with boxers, some mugs, chocolates, biscuits, chocolate coins (25p:)) champneys bag, fcuk mini box, s & G tin, and the best buy of all was a duplo play with letters set £25 down to £6.25:j:j just laying on a shelf - knew it was in 50% off sale so grabbed it and got them to check at till. Most of the shelves were cleared by the time I left at 10.30 not sure if more stock to put out or not but glad I made effort to go in end
  • I went to the Hammersmith,King St branch at 9am and there were quite a few things left. There was both sides of an aisle full - mainly make up sets and shower/bath type sets. Some pyjama sets,Totes type socks and gloves. Quite a few Hello Kitty bits but no toys, children's or men's things.

I was surprised that there was nothing at all at the High St Kensington branch. Not a sausage.

Ok, did Birmingham High Street and Bullring

High street got there 15 mins after opening, absolute chaos.

I was there for opening and it was hectic - about 50 waiting outside for the doors to open. Mostly pleasant - lots of 'sorry' 'sorry' ' no sorry' :rotfl: I apologise to anyone I may have bumped into with my trolley :o I have dodgy wrists and can't carry a basket so needed one of those weird basket trolleys :o

Major problems with the self scans though - some of them weren't accepting 'pay with points' but would take off the points and not give a receipt. I was very lucky that when the points were deducted from my card the SA was with me and saw it too because she had to convince the SA who came to deal with the machine that I had paid for my stuff. Very embarrassing stood there while it was all sorted out :o

I also did bullring and was suprised how controlled it was - quite easy to shop in :D

I did pop into the new street branch too and they were the only place that I'd seen any Gok stuff - will probably all be gone by now as they had already reduced from 2 units to one by 10.30.

Got everything I wanted so very pleased - worth getting up at 5.30 for  and even more pleased that I stuck to my list and didn't buy stuff I don't need :rotfl:

I was told by staff member that this will probably be last year for 75% sale - apparently only last minute decision this time and it nearly didn't happen.

I'm sure they said that last year too :p

It was fine at Kingston Park too - I was in and out in 13 minutes with lots of little goodies.

So was I! Were you the blonde lady having a fag outside at opening time (taking my lead from your user name!?) I was there with my friend and my daughter..2nd in line!

    For S and G fans:

In my store - S and G stuff had all gone (wasn't too fussed) although I did see a mens roll up thing that had male S and G stuff in and I saw a lady with what looked like a biscuit tin in her basket which was S and G.

So S and G was still available at the very start of the sale but as it is noon now !

And just a heads up - I plumped for a "Joules" breadmaking tin with two big jars of jam and two spoons (£18). Just opened the pack and the jam is top quality stuff and there are lots of bonus hidden items in the pack - ribbon, string, waxed discs, decorative circles, elastic bands - even a pack of yeast !

And a £10 off £50 coupon for those who shop at Joules !

    Worth every penny of £4.50 ! :):):)

Was just going to mention the Joules set, I got it too and just had am on toast and it's lovely, fab set with all the extras inside!!!;)

I stuck to my guns and didn't venture into the city this morning at all, as I knew there was nothing in particular I wanted in either store. However, just been to my little branch near work, and they have more this year than in previous years, so although I've waited til lunchtime, I've come back with 2 carrier bags :).
