Mr Bloater signing in for the inaugral LCMG challenge at a rather unspectacular 22stone 13 this morning. Meaning on that beautiful morning of the 1st April when I not only have the luxury of getting up at stupid o'clock but in addition the untrammelled joy of collecting MrsBloater-in-law from Heathrow I shall be tipping the scales at a little less lardy 21stone 7. 10 weeks and 20 lbs to go. Am going to start by having a cup of tea.

Did I mention I gained 8 lbs over Christmas? Oh £$$%^^$£".

On the money saving front, I've been offered a balance transfer of 0percent, I'm going for it and I estimate I'll save over 200 quid in interest. I am adding that to my signature. I'll brush over the holiday I've booked :D:D:D.

My next challenge is to get the cost of my broadband down.
when i went back to work i was 1lb off 17 stone ,im not ever going there i am now back down to 16,7 you can do this:j
went for job interview money not great will decide think i'm going to fling my cv out there
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

    Hey Everyone,

Everyone seems to be doing really well! :j

Been awol for a while :o, mainly as nothing to report. I've cleared my Very account (£240) which creeped up over xmas, so I'm back to being debt free, no increase in savings though. I've also booked a holiday (Dianeyland! :j) so that's tied up even more cash :o.

Bit of a standstill on ther weight loss front. Losing motivation as I hurt my foot a couple of weeks ago so haven't been able to do much. It's still quite bad now - which is slightly worrying :(, am getting it checked out soon (fingers crossed it's nothing serious!). I've not been too bad foodwise, but the lack of movement really doesn't help as I'm probably eating as much as I usually would, I'm just not burning it off - which has got to slow things down.

Less chin more grin? Can it be our challenge motto?

Lost 2lbs and gained £16.30 in loose change. Banking it Monday morn and updating sig forthwith. I'm glad someone broke it down to 2lb's per week, that makes my one stone 10lbs seem very achievable. I'm also considering stooging or stoozing? Whatever it's called I've got 0% for 23months. Wondering whether to pay minimum and bank the overpayments in order to earn some meagre interest? Or if psychologically I need to lose that 3.5k debt on that particular card that seems to have been with me since I was 30 and drinking cocktails every night. I was 9st 4 back then, I wonder if it was the cocktails that did it?

Overtime this month and payday next week, will add that when received. Possible ebay fest this weekend.

Just achieved 42.42 cashback for changing broadband and home phone and made at least a 30 quid saving per month. Call it feb and march and add on the cashback so I make that 102.42

Dramatic results for day one of my mini-mission, after a month of naff all progress, my weight plummeted by 5lbs due to the fact I spent pretty much every daylight minute yesterday involved in some form of physical activity - including 37 visits to the loft and 37 visits to the shed each time carrying heavy objects. And resisted the temptation to snack out or imbibe any wine.

From 10th Nov 2009 to 4th Jan 2010 I managed to gain 11 Llbs. :eek:This was an all time, hopefully never to be repeated, record for me. This year I gained just 1 ;)

(I started a weight diary spreadsheet in 2009. Been doing it for 3 years now. Well worth doing imho - very enlightening)
