  • Can't sleep now - the fact that I'm actually classed as obese is a shock - I mean, I know I'm a fat git - I see a fat git in the mirror and occasionally I spy myself in shop windows... But obese? Surely obese is for those huge beached whale types who have to have mobility scooters cos they can't support their own weight? Obesity is for those fat kids who eat haribo multipacks for brekfast isn't it?

Seriously though, I guess I knew... Doesn't make it any less of a shock though. I suppose I needed a kick up the jacksie and a thread like this is just the place to provide it.

So, I guess I've got a choice - I need to sort out that BMI - I'm 30 so don't imagine I'll be doing any more growing... So I guess I need to shed some of those pounds then...

Blimey I just read that back - I'm not normally this full of self loathing...

Time to try and get some kip I suppose.
    Regards,
    Crunchy

  • Crunchy, i am obese too! my bmi is 31.5 so only need to lose a few pounds to be overweight instead of obese - so don't know why its taken me three years or so to lose nothing!!!

We can all do this together and spur each other one - first mini goal is to become overweight, not obese!! Dh wants to get fit too, so we are taking the kids and all going for a walk after dinner from tomorrow..

I am abroad from Sunday for a week, and will do loads of walking this time while I am there with work.....will also eat more healthily while I am there...scoffed myself silly last time and ate loads of sweets and junk food!

Looking forward to biggest loser, didnt know about angie either. I love watching it, and will make sure I excercise during the show - have an old stepper I may bring in from the shed, and also a gym ball that is lying around somewhere.

Nothing doing on the money front, although I have started the spending diary....

Here's today's list. Am up for a run but the biblical gales thrashing the house mean I might settle for a cup of tea instead.

  • D'oh - my sleepless night has cost me £13.06 in lost overtime - overslept and got to work 1¼ hours late :(

Also meant I got the bus instead of walking, so instead of shedding some of this lard, I spent £1.60. :(:(

Mr B, thanks for updating my stats. I seem to have jumped up the list where people might see me so I am going to have to do something aren't I? Especially as all I have to show so far is a weight gain. :(

Crunchy, don't beat yourself up about your weight. You're doing something about it, that's what counts. Sorry about the overtime but hopefully you can make it up at some point.

  • A new start! 4k run yesterday morning followed by a coffee & croissant party and I didn't eat a single croissant, veg soup for lunch and more for dinner and my beloved finished off the chocolate covered shortbread that a 'dear' friend brought round. Now for the money...
    HNY!
  • Thanks Miggy. I'm trying to stay positive - after all, I'm no fatter now than I was before I worked out my BMI - it's just that O word sounds so 'clinical'.
The OTs not really a loss - just an minor annoyance. Luckily I seem to have got away with being late without getting a b******ing :D

Just a query folks, when do people their Quidco cashback as savings? When you have it tracking, or when you get it into your account? Only started using Quidco late last year, so not had any oney through yet.

Ordered a new phone last night from O2, with £100 cashback due...not showing up as tracking yet, but looking forward to getting it eventually!

Need to track down and change our dog's insurance supplier. After going through our spending yesterday, discovered that we are paying nearly £40 a month on her insurance!!:eek: Found other insurance @ £14 a month...much better :D
She is nearly 13 now and only ever been to the vets for her annual jabs, so really a healthy mutt!

Take care all of you venturing out into this foul day x
