Evening all, just a quick update that we are now full to the brim and regretfully cannot accept anyone else on the list. That's not to stop anyone joining in on the thread but my daily sheet cannot fit anymore people on it. Cheers.
Presumably as we all get slimmer there will be more space for newcomers?
Have a great New Year Mr and Mrs Bloater and all!Miggy

Well I shall update weekly as I don`t always get time to post. Great to see this thread is so popular!
Update is £250 saved so I have £1750 to go.
One stone is my aim - no loss yet
Good luck everyone & Happy New Year!!!:j:j0 -
Trying to work out how I'm going to reach my £2K target...
1.Ebay....kids clothes that no longer fit and toys which are just cluttering up my kids rooms which are no longer played with. Anything else that's also surplus to requirements....my old clothes that won't fit after I lose 2+ stone :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
2.Surveys.... I currently have a referral email from Pinecone Research if anyone is interested in the £3/survey payout. I don't get anything for the referral so I'll happily forward the email to the next 10 people who PM me with their email addy. I've already sent out about a dozen today and i have no idea how many people you can "refer". Have sent out over 10 of these now so sorry to those who have just read this thread for the 1st time!
3.Do my 2 months "free" council tax months count ? That would be £430 in the pot!:D
4.Musicmagpie my CD's
5.Get rid of all old mobile phones kicking about DD's toybox...some of these are actually worth....£1.00....needs must :rotfl:
6.Do a budget and STICK TO IT...
7.Go through bank statements and cancel DD's for what I don't need....thinking Olive subscription at the moment.
8. Do my best to get back to work full-time....I'm part-time at the moment and there is a full-time position available but inter-dept wranglings of whose budget is going to pay for it is holding things up:mad:
9. There must be a 9....I'll think of it at 4:21 am when I am lying awake worrying about my financial affairs!
Hope this ramble helps someone!Must learn not to count chickens before they are hatched!!!!:D
Every day is a new challenge not a new problem!:p
SW start 08/01/14 4/21lbs (1st target) :j0 -
..sneaks in...I think I must join you - def need to loose two stone plus, money may be harder but I'll give it my best shot.
First big incentive is the company do at the end of January - want to be fitter and hopefully a bit lighter so I feel less of the elephant in the room. Its a good thing to aim at!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
Happy New year everyone!
Thanx mr B and hiya Mrs B.... I am down as no. 16 on your list and down to start on 25 december - which was a bit silly!!! Will be starting tomorrow...honest!!
Start weight is 13.7lbs...me and DH have loads of the celebrity slim shakes left from the £5 a box deal a few months ahp, so will be having shakes twice a day, and protein and veg in the evening.
Moneywise - Will need to ebay, and have just decluttered the house a lot, so will be listing on thursdays to last for 10 days at a time - will do this from the end of jan, as only have old things to list.
Will sell some old bits of gold lying around...
apply for some agency work and chase up a few other work opportunities
Restart a tshirt printing me and DH did from home - still have all the equipment and need to advertise and tell everyone we know,,,0 -

Oops, gone up to past my starting weight. Have got 100 items ready to go on eBay - just a question of listing the darn things now. House declutter today might reveal some other prizes.

Well, I got caught up with the idealism of New Year intentions and woke up a bit overly optimistic but then quickly came falling back to earth when I weighed in and had gained 1lb! Who am I kidding, we have been indulging of course - it was Christmas - but for some dream like moment I thought I may have lost! Oh well - that means that I have gained 5 pounds over December. Well that is the past now - onwards and upwards it is the new year, new beginnings and all right? I have also decided that although I admire Mr. B's enthusiasm -making £4000 between us is unrealistic and so as I face my reality for money saving - I am aiming to do £1000 and any more than that will be a lovely bonus - so Mr. B will have his £2000 challlenge met with e-bay I am sure - I will keep digging in the money pot and hopefully will come up with some other saving planss as well.
My intention for today is to de-clutter the monkeys rooms so that we can make the new Christmas toys more accessible and sort through the ones that have had their day at maison Bloater and will hopefully find more love at a Netmum's or E-Bay household! Need to do this today as intend to be totally focussed on chilling out tomorrow - I start am starting a new position at a new place of work on Tuesday and the butterflies are aplenty! Well, Happy New Year everyone - I will report with my weight loss and any money I can squirrel away next Sunday - have a good week!

A very Happy New Year to everyone! Now that the festive season is over it should be so much easier, I don't think that anyone can really beat themselves up for putting on weight over Christmas!... I hope that the new job goes really well Mrs B and that the decluttering isn't too bad!
Tryingtobegood- if you keep the money from the free council tax months and save it then I would say it definately does count!
Have a great day everyone- I am hang-over free this morning as elected to drive last night (so hit the Shloer rather heavily). Overindulged a bit at last night's buffet so will be going on a walk this morning with a few slow trundling jogs thrown in!!0
