I was thinking about this last night (thank you 3am insomnia!) and I will count my 2k as follows:

    1. Any quidco/PCR/e-bay/amazon/nectar/clubcard gains
    2. Tax payments/refunds - I owe them £200, DH is due at least 6k if I win an argument but more likely £1k from his overpayments
    3. Overtime
    4. DH consultancy/Etsy/e-bay, gives me an incentive to support him
    5. Virtual savings - any savings on my budgeted £5 a week pocket money, and £450 a month grocery challenge - double whammy cos I usually fritter £4 a week on a Friday macdonalds
    6. I will write my gap in the market niche e-book. I will, I will, I will. It needs knowledge and research (that I have, and have done) not writing ability and the capacity to be witty which I haven't got.

Mr Bloater - thanks for adding my figures, I started on boxing day thanks

Batch cooking today in the vague hope of coming in under budget on my money and the GC money. Chilli cooked and tubbed for DH lunches, and butter made from RTC cream, and then frozen.

I also have an unoped copy of Shred. E-bay or open?

  • I dunno! I go off-line for a week and this shiny new thread shows up;).

Welcome and hello to Mrs B too:wave:

I am defo up for the money-making challenge in the form of vinyl. It is time for our collections to also be sold whilst someone is still willing to part with good money for them.

Am going to order a vinyl cleaning kit/cloths this weekend, as OHs collection is currently cosmetically and dustically challenged - i'm hoping that most will be in better condition than i had first-feared.

We are going to use the USB-turntable that OH brought me for my birthday (in May lol) to download our favourites first.

Am also particularly watching the Team Bloater sales reports as our collection is at least 50% identical - i'm just hoping i can repeat some of your success.

I have the last week in Jan off to really get down to it.

Time to come out face the music. The weight should not be a problem as I start a milk diet for 16 days tomorrow. I even went as far as buying a scale today to help me along the way. Been to scared to have one in the house for years but it's now time to be positive about the weight loss and not hide.

Money wise not sure but I will try. If I can save £500 which is probably more realistic for me then I will be happy with that.
  • Hi

Been lurking here for a while.

    Could I join?

My start date would be 02/02/12 which would mean ending on my 45 birthday! Got to be fate.
    Start weight 11st 3 - target weight 9st 10.

The money might be more difficult but I'll give it a go.
    Thanks

  • Well first weigh in didn't go too well, one pound up from last week. Opened my fat pig money box and had grand total of £38.20 in coppers so that will be paid into the bank next week. Am also going to count all the £2 coins I save from now on to go towards my total. Happy New Year everyone.
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.

    Evening All

I have been using the slimming world principles for the past 6 weeks or so and have lost around 1.5-2.0 stone (didnt get weighed just a guesstimate as to what I felt I weighed). Since purchasing scales on Monday I am very proud to say I have gone from XXSt 9.25lb to XXst 5lb this morning :D The XX's spare my embarrassment at the horrendous weight I currently am.

I will be having my potatoes roasted in goose fat with tomorrows lunch and have drank a !!!!!! load (technical term ;)) of alcohol this week (thanks to people giving me booze as a gift :D) so I was really chuffed this morning - I have resisted all the kids chocolates and sweets.

DH is working tonight so I have planned my evening once the kids are in bed you will find me in my comfies with a large vodka & diet something with a bowl of homemade slimming world friendly crisps and a christmas book.

Happy New Year to you all and may all our years be skinnier :D

  • Evening all, just a quick update that we are now full to the brim and regretfully cannot accept anyone else on the list. That's not to stop anyone joining in on the thread but my daily sheet cannot fit anymore people on it. Cheers.
