Well diet started today. Coming in at 16 stones and 6 lbs. Have been good today and juiced my way through a huge variety of fruit and veg, lets hope we see some downwards movement on the scales next Friday.

Many thanks for setting this up :T:T:T

  • Count me in for both 2 stones and 2K. I will start from January 2nd. I've been a long time lurker on the site and now it is time to take action and sort out my finances. This seems a good place to start.

To help me on my way I will:

start putting tips from the website in to action.
stop buying takeaway food for at least 31 days (to start with)
No alcohol for 31 days (at least)
declutter and get my house in order
try to be more organised, plan and cook meals
get out of the mentality that I deserve it! because I work full time.
Post my progress on this thread

Hope I can get support from the website and live more frugally, sort out my finances.

Take care everybody and hope you all have a good new year.
  • 6 more places left on the Challenge bus if anyone wants the ride. No excuses after tonight for any of us - let's get the money rolling in.

Woohoo, more money added to the pot!

So far I have £105 from family refunding xmas and birthday gifts I have bought, £100 from people buying my house who are buying cooker from me, £60 cashback on a new phone contract, £4 refund on home insurance, £50 Xmas money which makes a grand total of £319. I am on a roll.... (a swiss roll as today is the last day of eating rubbish as the lbs challenge starts tomorrow!). I am pretty sure the £'s challenge will dry up now as that is all financial stuff tied up now.

Thanks for starting this Mr B, onto the lbs next

I have just found £677 in a bank account I'd forgotten about (share dividends from an old work share scheme are paid in there), I have £15.95 due from quidco tomorrow and £125 more tracked, so I might do better than I thought. I wonder whether it would be worth doing my tax return to see whether they give me any money back :D
