  • I have the weightwatchers scales and have been weighing myself every morning, only started on Tuesday there.

I weighed18 stone 8 on Tuesday morning, 18 stone 4 yesterday morning and this morning only 18 stone and a quarter.

I don't understand, I know the scales are accurate but how can I possibly have lost 8 pounds in 3 days?

Hya folks, can I join too please?

I have loads to lose, so need to start NOW!

Yesterday (28th Dec) I weighed in at 20st 7lb, I will go back to weighing on Mondays next week and want to finish on April 30th...though I will need to carry on after that as I really need to shed 10 stone in all

We also need to take our finances in hand: finish paying off our 0% card,as well as Mr T's...then it's saving for the Uni boys. DS1 is in his 3rd year of a 4 year course and DS2 hopes to go in September...so lots of saving required!

Never sold anything on e£ay, but may need to start methinks!

Good luck everyone, and thanks MR B for starting this thread and keeping things going.

  • Well, I have not braved the scales again since inital weigh-in, but will on Sunday as it will be a week by then and I am much happier with weekly weigh ins! I have used the cross trainer for an invorgating 25mins on Tuesday and have been kept so busy running around after the little ones and undecorating Santa's grotto that I have not had a chance since - will try to rectify that this afternoon I think. I did something today that has been unheard of since my uni days - I got two books out of the library - thus saving me at least £10 that I throw away when I enter Waterstones and think that I am getting a good deal by buying the 3 for 2 book deal and collecting points. I also managed to scrounge £15 in £1 and 50p coins from Mr. B's junk bucket that he keeps in the front hallway with all his keys and stuff in - will be adding that to my challenge savings - finders keepers (although I know, what is mine is his etc - but he is insisting that we do stick to £2000 each in savings - nigh on impossible I think - but trying to be positive - will have to wait and see).

Thanks for the tip on selling my old friend Johnnie's kids clothes on e-bay - unfortunately in my ignorant non-money saving and debt busting days I donated all DD clothes (who had the most benefit out of my two monkeys from Johnnie) to one of my best friends who had a lovely little girl at the same time that I had a little boy (who Mr. B would not let me dress in any bit of pink ;) ). The clothes I am happy to say have been handed on again and so are fulfilling a loved life!

Well, little man has had his second MMR jab today and is not too happy, must go off and cuddle down for his nap.

Good luck to one and all - I feel positive that with all this dedicated support we will meet our achieveable targets - the positive energy is out there!
  • List will be updated tonight. Small victory for me on the money front - once all the payments have cleared it'll be a nice £92.66 made from eBay since the challenge started. Have cherrypicked the next 100 records to be listed (on Jan 1st) and am then going to try some of the more clunky./chunky things over the Febraury holiday, back to records for March and then chuck everything in the mix for a desperate final push in April.
And a 4k run has to happen tomorrow whatever the weather or circumstances.

  • Hi Mr B, sorry I didn't give you any details when I joined your challenge. I already do Slimming World and weighed in last week so please could you put my starting weight as 12stone 9lb on the 23rd December and I would like to be 10stone 9lb by 23rd April. I have already been selling on ebay and amazon so will work out my figures for that very soon. I am also counting in any cashback I earn. I have lost my motivation recently so hopefully this will inspire me to do better.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you
  • Today's list. Would have broken the £100 mark myself but Mrs B decided to steal my tub of coins which has been sitting untroubled on the windowsill for months. Suddenly the challenge happens and bang it vanishes. She can bloody well set up her own ebay account now.

  • Today (sorry yesterday now, I am on nites) I bought analayser scales which calculate weight and body fat/ muscle ratio.

Until now I have been using my Wii to monitor my weight. I was really pleased to find that I weigh the same on the Wii and the new scales.

The down side is I still weigh 13 stone 6lb, and despite being good most of the time I have had no weight loss for 2 weeks.

The plus side is I have had several overindulgences over the holiday period and have done well to maintain my weight.

I will be restarting bootcamp on Monday, and I am going to seriously work on reducing the body fat and increasing muscle mass.:D
