We have a Sebo and that has been augmented with a Henry for the new woen floor. The Sebo is excellent but if you have animals it might be better looking elswhere. The ery is aeat bit of kt but I remember why I didn't like cylinder machines.
  • We've had a Miele for a few years and it's good.

We had a Dyson upright for many years with extended warranties but parts kept having to be replaced. No loss of suction though.

We now have a new VAX upright which is much lighter than the Dyson. It's also very powerful. They offer a 6 year parts guarantee.

I don't think Miele yet do a bag-less vacuum cleaner?

  • I always thought Henry vacuum cleaners were very noisy. Ok for office cleaning etc but never found them very suitable for home, unless you have ear plugs!

We have the Air U91-MA-B. It's great if you have a bad back or don't want something as heavy as a Dyson. It is also suitable for hard floors or carpet.

The only gripe some people have is that the extension pipe isn't very long for stairs and the electrical cord isn't as long as other models. I find it adequate though.

They have recently brought out a new model with extended reach called the Air Reach (U90-MA-R).

    VAX Air

You can buy them cheaper than VAX direct at other stores or even COSTCO.

As a fellow dyson-killer, i too now have a Vax.

Bought it from argos, looking at the website, mine is now discontinued but this:

looks like the one that replaced it.

    I love mine:j

I love my Sebo x4 Pet. As someone upthread said, buy cheap, buy twice.
