well i had the lady from dyson call me last night but was rather late so she promised to call me this morning and guess what she phoned . and the only thing wrong with my dyson was a blocked tube !!!!!

unblocked it and now working fine - cant believe i bought a new miele now :)

Now that's what I call a MSE :rotfl:

There are are large number of reviews here,

    http://www.reevoo.com/browse/product_type/vacuum-cleaners?order=customer_score

MIELE S6220 score most highly but the Numatic Hetty seems good value

I think the Dyson animal is overrated, the fiddly bits take time to get used to, and the short tube is a serious pain.

Well, the best way forward will be to sell the Dyson to another sucker (sorry couldn't help myself :p ), otherwise we will see you here in six month with another Dyson related thread :D

I've tried bagless, panasonic and vax, but got fed up with having to dismantle and try and clean all the parts of manky stuck on household dust. I just dont get this bagless feature anymore. I now have Henry, and when he is full I chuck the bag out, put a new bag in and its as good as new again, well worth the 50p or whatever for the bag vs messing about with water, fairy liquid etc to try and get parts cleaned. Sadly my wife managed to break one of his wheels off ! so he limps along now.

Henry spare wheels-rear wheel also available

Managed to kill 2 dysons, will stick with Henry now :)

I would say that these machines (Miele) are so well built you could easily skip the warranty, this is just from my experience and my mom (12 years so far without a problem).

I've had my vacuum for 22 years and its still going strong. I call the mail order service for dust bags, replacement brushes (about once every 4 years) and any attachment replacements needed. Its called Voverk (google it there's an outlet here in the UK - German) and you can't buy them in shops. Probably costs £1000 nowadays but I can't believe how long its kept going. Its recommended for asthmatics too which is why we originally bought it.
