    Hello fabbers:D

There seem to be a lot of positives on this thread atm:T Reading about peoples successes and compliments is really motivating

Fab wise, I had my gym assessment etc yesterday. I surprised myself by really enjoying it and the pilates class after was great. Even my hair aches today though:D:D but in a good way iyswim. Wanted to go again today but decided that pacing myself is more sensible and to go tomorrow instead.

So today I have decided that my main 'job' is to tackle the fabbing. Will deal with the grey roots, the pasty (hairy) legs, facemask etc and then get to grips with the wardrobes(s). This will take an age, as I have tons of clothes. Too much really, I find it all a bit overwhelming if I'm honest but I know I will feel happier if I can bring a bit of order to the chaos

    Have a good day everyone

Well done Willow on your interview. Lots of good advice on what to wear already given but sending you lots of positive vibes :j

Watty - My vote is for vaseline, its cheap, it doesnt sting and it gets the job done. Hope your poor lips are better soon.

LL good luck on applying at garden centre :)

I am alternating between stuffing my face with food and feeling motivated to exercise. Not done any Zumba this week but TBH I've been too busy and given that I completely overdid it the week before I've been trying to take it steady.
Minimum fabbing, doing the basics and thats about it.

Well done to all of you trying new ventures, gym classes, dance classes and weight loss.

    Morning everyone.
I’m having a trying morning trying to sort out my finances. Why oh why do banks make it so difficult, I had some financial advice a several months ago yet I still feel some of my savings could be doing better. Seems I’ve got to move my money every 12 months to keep it earning interest.
Good luck with the job interview Willow.
Sympathise with Lamewolf and Maman about the insomnia, I know what it’s like lying awake all night. I’ve gone back on HRT because mine was due to the menopause. My inability to concentrate nearly caused me to have a nasty car accident and my doctor agreed that it rather put the risks into perspective.
Bratz81 sorry to hear about your problem, I agree with Lamewolf and podperson ask the hospital or your doctor for more information
Envy the size 10 Fedupandskint, says she who is sitting here eating a chocolate biscuit!!! Think I’d better read that book by Geneen Roth that Betsy bean recommended.
Keeping up with the fabbing, managed to get a few bargains in boots 75% off sale yesterday, just wish my hair would grow faster, seems to have stopped.:o
    Have a good day.

allie23 what's the book about? i'd like to buy some motivational health/diet/lifestyle books. The only book like that i've ever enjoyed is Skinny B!tch, it's just hilarious and the tone is all "that spare tire aint' gonna lose itself so step away from the donuts and do some press ups!" also the authors are a model and celeb nutrionist so you know it works.

i've got the skinny b!tch book too! its apparently what sent Natalie Portman vegan. have you seen the Clean and Lean books by James Duigan? i love those too. there all really sensible and i especially like the chapters that told me too much exercise can make you stressed and store fat and sleep helps you loose weight.

    Morning all,

Having a wee bit of a stressful day - my contact is playing up so am sat at my desk with my eye watering and squinting out of one side to see anything - good job I'm not in an open plan office or I would be getting some rather funny looks I think. Also had problems with one of my betting sites this morning and by the time I managed to sort it the thing I was meant to be betting on had finished  Apparently is not my day!
Trying to be positive though - my ebay items are all selling. Quite shocked as one of them is some vouchers I got from Coke zone and they have 5 bids and 18 watchers already! Am frantically searching the house for Coke bottles now to see if I can get enough points to get some more :rotfl:Am going to try and have a clear out this weekend and see if I have anything else to go on.
Fabwise - been rather lazy/busy this week. Was really my only free night last night and I was intending to do some fabbing but then OH said did I want to do something as we've hardly seen each other all week, so ended up having a few drinks and got nothing else done :o Ah well, was nice to have a night in with him.

Sudocrem if you have any lying about for sore lips, good for healing although not to be seen in public!

Thanks ... have this and vaseline in the horses 1st aid kit. Will start on those. Love the idea of mixing a little with a bit of lippy for coloured lip gloss. How "fab" was that.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Just want to wish Willow all the very best for your interview. I'm not offering any advice, because I'm not the least bit qualified to do so - I haven't worked in over a decade (medical retirement) and I don't "do" conventional dress, beyond being clean and decent!:D You go, girl!

Rotten night last night - went to bed about quarter past midnight; at half past, Mr LW poured me a dose of morphine as my shoulder started up the moment I laid down, and I literally didn't know where to put myself.:(

01:54, his phone rang; now this is OK-ish, as he's On Call for work for this week BUT it was a twonker on another continent mis-dialling, so I was NOT a happy bunny. The ring made me jump out of my skin, so I couldn't settle; and at 03:30 the pain was so bad I had to wake him for more morphine (my hands had seized up and there was no way I could pour it myself).

Finally dozed off and had The Most Horrendous Nightmare.:( I was so grateful for the 05:15 alarm to fetch me out of that.

So this morning I've had to really work at not being a grouch while we got up and dressed, and got him off to work. Think "Bear" and "Sore head".

After all the food discussion yesterday I cba with eating at all; but I must persuade myself to have a spot of lunch. I just remembered, one thing I didn't mention in my post yesterday, the weight went on me when I was put on steroids - prior to that, I was actually underweight.:(

Question: My lips are really dry and cracked and sore. Any tips or ideas? I tried using a vitamin E lip salve stick from the body shop that I found in the bathroom but I threw that away as I was sure it was making them worse.
Anyone any ideas of what might work? Preferably something I just might have lying around the house as my aim wasn't to buy anything till the bathroom cupboard was empty of products for this and that ... but ..I could relent!

Hi Watty - the thing I've always found works best for me is Blistex Relief Cream - if you keep applying it your lips should have healed within a few days (well mine always do anyway!). It's perhaps not something you'd already have but it is pretty cheap. It's the old-fashioned looking one at the top left you want (Healing), not any of the new-fangled Intensive/Soothing etc - they're not as good!

((hugs)) LW sounds like an awful night, i really hope something happens today that will cheer you up. I worked with a bloke who put on 6st due to steroids, noone needs those side effects after a rough time with illness.

evilsquid no, not yet, but i've been keeping up with the book extracts and tips in Hello!(i think) and read about the different kinds of fat storage at work yesterday. Think I'm stress fat, so after my exams I'm going to research foods to eat to reduce cortisol and murder my boss.
I am a huuuuge believer in eating to heal yourself and that food can be more than fuel. Not instead of modern medicine, but as a supplement, and I only take drugs if it's absolutely necessary. A few people on here may know that my OH had cancer last year, it was really scary and we are now both even more determined to be super healthy and eat the best foods we can. He happily drinks a glass of carrot, red cabbage and orange juice in the mornings now, it's the best "anti-cancer juice" I have been able to come up with for a reasonable price that tastes really good (and makes enough pulp for a large portion of healthy carrot cake that he will wolf down). He doesn't even notice the red cabbage, not sure where he thinks the colour comes from as it looks like this before stirring it: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-neNSUslopbo/TxZwcsCBtvI/AAAAAAAAAEw/x_-qLOTc6SU/s1600/image-upload-2-741740.jpg

I've just done a lactic acid peel, bit stingy. I'm going to quickly whip up some vit c serum then get dressed and go see my lecturer. And I must take off this manky chipped nail varnish tonight!

Apart from all my usual fabbing today I have been measured in M&S and bought myself some new underwear, I'm so glad I did get measured as I was forcing my myself into a 32d cup bra when apparently I'm a 32dd cup:o The only problem is that now I only have one bra that actually fits:D
