Evening all
Have not been feeling veray fab at all this week - just really ordinary and a bit bleugh if you know what I mean:(
Then I came on here, read what how fab everyone is being against the odds and visited my friend who has been laid out by a slipped disc for the last treee months - she is now flat on her back waiting for an operation - and realised I am so lucky, I need to change my attitude and feel fab!!:j
the_cat - I know what you mean about being overwhelmed - I think I'm just going to try one step at a time! - A shower and scrub and lots of lotion tonight I think!
LW, Boo to the disturbed night!! I feel like I've been sledge-hammered after a night like that and hate the bad dreams that seem to "stick" to you when you wake up! Mine are always about being lost somewhere that should be familiar and not being able to find my family:eek:
Willow, good luck with the interview and good trousers and a smart top sound ideal:)
Preparethehome, hope you enjoy the cinema, I'd like to see Warhorse. Sounds like you will be looking utterly fab and feeling fab from the inside out too!:T
Right, am off to take over the bathroom and use some of my "good" smellies!
Then it's a choice between painting my nails and ironing - now which should I do?;)0 -

Good Evening Ladies
Well done to those who remembered that tomorrow is Fab Friday.
Just a quickie - have had a full on day and am shattered this evening - also need to get up extra early tomorrow for my GP appointment.
Today I have finally managed to start exercising again - just a little - still got to nurse the back along. I went to physio yesterday and am determined that this week I will build on the good work so today was just some core exercises and then some tummy crunches. So far so good, no adverse effects yet. Tomorrow morning will tell:eek:.
Todays fabbing - a manicure and lots of moisturiser, other than that nothing very exciting.
Keep up the good work ladies.
G'night X0 -
So I am now a lovely shade of beetroot having completed a full Zumba work outI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Hell fellow fabbers,
I hope you are all doing well?
Hugs to all that need them and a high five (g/son has been here) to all that are fabbing well :j
At last my back is feeling better I cannot :j:j yet but hopefully soon
A busy few days this week, appointments that I did not want to cancel.
Dr has given me the thumbs up re my VV op, I can stop wearing the compression stockings :j but I will keep them for any future long haul flights!
LL, I am very pleased with the results of the op and looking forward to maybe wearing shorts this summer ;)
Need to get some sleep.
Upwards and onwards ladies

Too cold for fabbing here, the heating is broken and I am freeeeeezing . Just about to dash from the relative warmth of the living room to bed which I am not looking forward to. No hot water for baths either, at least we have an electric shower to see us through.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

feeling anything but fab after having the worst nightmare about our wedding going all wrong and waking up crying about 4am - couldn't get back to sleep after that for some reason.
Am also still freezing, we've no oil and no money for any til end of February and it's kind of depressing me. I know I could be far worse off but I feel grumpy today!
On a plus I have put a few bits on eBay - I have some dresses I don't wear any more as they're too big, or wore once and realised they weren't me so I'm getting rid in order to declutter and see what I'm left with. Will get some new things once I've sorted out my wardrobe and figured out what doesn't fit any more.
I went a bit mad recently getting lovely dresses for the weekend/going out but realised I've nothing to wear in a more casual capacity, for work and stuff like that, so we'll have to see what's what.carpe diem

[Deleted User] wrote:Hiya Tete en l'Air. Welcome to the thread. My husband has really bad ecaema and psorisis. He quite often gets very dry patches of eczema around his eyes - usually above his eyes, but underneath his eyebrows. I make him up a wee aromatherapy blend of Sweet Almond Oil with some Roman chamomile and lavender in it which really helps him. I usually keep the dilution farily low, only adding a few drops of each essential oil.
It may also be worth considering the Oil Cleansing Method a few people on here have been talking about as the oil would really nourish your skin. Or you could use a mix of Sweet almond oil with some Jojoba oil mixed in as an alternative moisturiser for face or badly affected parts of your boday. The Jojoba mimics the skin's own natural sebum. I hope this helps. al x
Hi Allie, I've just seen this post, thanks for replying. What's the oil cleansing method? If it's anything to do with oil pulling I think I'll give that a miss - sounds awful!!
Bagpuss - great news you've been measured for a bra, I did this a few months ago as I was in completely the wrong size and have gradually replaced all my underwaer, feels fab to know that even if you're not in your smartest clothes, you look good underneath!
Prepareathome - great post, what a lovely lady your GP sounds!
Not feeling particularly fab today I have to say, didn't get much sleep last night. Going to have a Friday night mani/pedi session later thoughWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Morning all,
Willow - good luck with the interview, would agree with the others on smart business wear, I don't really own a suit so just wear smart black pants/skirt and a blouse or nice top.
LW - hope you had a better night last night x
Bagpuss - I think I really need to get measured as well (might look for a guide online actually) my last decently fitting bra has died on me this morning so must get some more this weekend
Prepareathome - what a lovely post, and your GP sounds like a star, nice to know there are some decent ones around (when I went to my old one suffering from depression she told me I should 'pull myself together' and if that didn't work go for a walk after work - depsite me telling her I was working 13hr days and didn't finish until 10pm). You are making some amazing changes and are definately inspiring us now
Sezza - I have been feeling a little like that but agree we better force ourselves on and it will all be fab
Carmen - so glad everyone seems ok, am sure you will be looking be fab this summer!
Bratz - I do feel for you, remember in our old house we would basically live in one room for most of the winter and watch tv etc under a duvet as the house was always freezing and the heating cost a fortuneMust admit have never been on oil though, is it very expensive?
Well am not feeling great today either but like Sezza said it's all about attitude and it could always be worse so pushing on! Eye is a little better but think has been watering in my sleep all night as woke up and could barely open it and all the skin round it is quite red and rather painful. Felt a bit cacky last night so didn't go to film group, instead ended up spending loads onlinemost of it is to hopefully resell on ebay though so fingers crossed that will work out ok - got some bits in the Emma Bridgewater sale and it looks like it's selling really well on there at the moment. Oh and if anyone else is ebaying have just seen it's free listings this weekend.
