Evening ladies - not been around for a few days due to vistors (family again), parents evening at work (always a torture) and generally being overworked:(
And, I'm afraid the fabbing has gone a bit to pot - just haven't had the time to do anything other than the basics (make up, perfume, decent-ish clothes for work, walking the dog).
But, its Friday and I have my house back:T
So tonight I plan to have a take away curry and a glass of wine as a reward for the week from hell and after the last dog walk have a nice bath, defuzz and do a face scrub. I'm hoping to force myself to go swimming on the weekend so defuzzing and general maintainance is required if I'm to be seen virtually naked in public!
Will have a read through the past few days worth of posts in a minute but hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to the weekend.0 -
Had hair cut a few layers put in. As you can see wore nice blouse with black slacks. Was surprised as she spent over 2 hrs on hair and it only came to £25, so have booked a wash and blow for same style for next Saturday 28th as we are going out for meal with hubbies bowls team so this style is nice but not formal for it.
Face has broken out with Eczema, only get it once or twice a year and has to be now when trying to glam up, typical so having to use Hydrocortisone cream to clear it as only thing that clears it as have had this all my life and tried all sorts and nothing else clears it. Having to keep hands away from face as I want to scratch and that will not help.
Hairdresser told me my hair was in lovely condition considering not been near a hairdresser for years, the girl who did my hair today remembers me going there in past. She took off around 2ins just to even it up but that was all it needed but at least it has some shape to it.
Got to bundle it all up and keep it dry as fancy a nice long soak and do want hairstyle to survive at least a couple of days.
Remember everyone is fab......
Just had a look and saw link for picture not coming though so this is the link

Hello all
I hope everyone has had a Fab Friday.
It's been a really busy week and I wore my usual black/white combo today, but I did paint my nails the brightest red. It's a bottle that was at the back of my shelf and a colour that I wouldn't normally wear but I will from now on.
Usual weekend fabbing to be done - gym sat and sun if possible and facepack, eyebrows and legs to do.
I'm another fan of Vaseline for chapped lips.
Take care all

Prepareathome - what beautiful healthy looking hair - I rue the day that I cut mine from bra length to a bob - its taking ages to grow back:(:eek:0

Fab Friday went ok today with some comments about being slim. Wore slim straight leg black jeans, new grey boots and grey stripey jumper and sparkly earrings and darker sparkly grey necklace (hematite)
STS on the weight front, measurements remained the same too so will knuckle down a bit and try harder over the next 2 weeks to try and get the last few lbs off.
Ran 8 miles tonight after work which went ok, nice and steady pace so happy with that and a day off tomorrow consisting of soup making, cleaning, ironing, studying and a couple of long dog walks
And I must up my fabbing to include defuzzing and then a facial session and maybe a pamper bath to cheer my upfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Today I have received a summons for speeding.
:o I have been driving for 35 years and I have broken my clean, unblemished record. Apparently I was doing 41 in a 30 mile zone, had no idea it was 40. I know that's no excuse so I'll just have to pay up with a good grace.
Apart from that generally a good day. Not very fab but I've been really busy - SS having finally taken the disability equipment away, the stairlift was also removed so now I can get cracking on a bit of house fabbing.
Prepared - you hair looks wonderful - so thick and shiny. I would kill for hair like that. Mine is so baby fine and wispy. When I was younger the fact that it was fine didn't matter because I had lots of it, but now it just looks so thin and sad. I had it chopped a couple of months ago. I think it was a mistake because although it looked nice at first it now seems to be hardly growing at all.:( I think it's sulking.
I understand that hair growth does slow down during the winter so I'm hoping that it perks up a bit in the Spring.
And, now I'm not happy about the colour. I let it go "au naturelle" and it was a lovely silver and I rather liked at. However over the winter it has just looked dull and grey and it makes me look drained and ill. Just as soon as it grows a bit I will definitely rethink the colour.
Prepared - Re the "Fat and Plain" - No. No. No. Don't do that to yourself.
OK maybe you are heavier than you would like to be - but you can work on that.
As for "plain" - well first of all I really don't see how you could call yourself plain with all that glorious hair. OK so you may not be "cutesy pretty pretty" in the Barbie Doll sense but there are many stunningly attractive women who, if you were being thoroughly objective about this, might be described as "plain".
I can think of dozens of high profile women, who when you take away the slap, hairstyles, clothes etc are actually rather plain. Models in particular often have quite "odd" looking facial features - it's how they package themselves that makes the difference.
Jerry Hall without slap is very plain, the actress Laura Linney, Iman, Meryl Streep - there's a whole list of them. In fact it is their very "plainness" that helps them in their careers because they can project any image they choose and play around with a host of different looks and styles.
I'm speaking here as someone who has lived all her life with a facial disfigurement so I think I can speak with a little authority on this. If you genuinely feel plain then there are ways to work round it and even turn it to your advantage.
As well as my birthmark I was also a very plain child. No seriously - my sister was the family beauty - I was the one with the brains.
I used to overhear our neighbours commiserating with my mother about my lack of "prettiness". "What a pity she isn't more like her sister" - that kind of thing. My baby fine hair was always kept short because Mum believed that would help it to thicken up - nonsense of course, my sister had rippling waves all down her back because her hair was thicker. I was short sighted and needed glasses from the age of 14, my sister has the largest, bluest eyes you could wish for - the comparisons are endless.
Yes it hurt a little but I grew, the hormones kicked in and I begin to fill out a little and look less like a stick insect. I learned how to compensate, to wear make up, style my hair and dress to impress. OK the face wasn't perfect but I was tall and slim, with great legs and good boobs and, once I had insisted on being allowed to grow my hair, long shiny healthy hair. I quickly learnt to exploit my best attributes.
I don't know if you did the mirror test at the beginning of our challenge, but it really is worth doing. My advice is to take a good long look and try to be objective.
Are you scarred, marked, disfigured, have a hare lip, broken nose. What's your skin like - I gather you are prone to excema which suggests that you have the fine delicate skin that often goes with being a redhead. Personally I think fair skinned red heads are beautiful. In between breakouts is your complexion clear and smooth. Are your teeth in good nick.
With your hair, then if you have good teeth, no obvious scarring or disfigurements, have an unblemished clear complexion then you have the potential to be truly beautiful.
All it takes is a little poise and confidence and a little know how.
And - as your stage career gets underway - you'll probably pick up lots of insider knowledge and learn all sorts of ways to enhance your looks. It's what actors do - they learn how to really project an image of perfection and beauty.
I was so saddened to hear that some of you are struggling to find the money to keep your homes warm. I think this is a shocking indictment of the world we now live in where people cannot afford to keep warm.
Turning down the thermostat and putting a sweater to reduce bills is one thing but not being able to afford proper heating is just so awful. I just don't know what the world is coming to.
Is there anyone you can get help from - even if it's just a crisis loan to tide you over so you can at least have some heat.
The powers that be should hang their heads in shame.
G;night all x0 -
Hiya all
felt pretty fab today! I channelled my inner Kirstie and wore a pretty dress with a a turquoise cardie, black boots and turquoise - i think its called abalone? - jewellery.
When I got home from work I did a bit of Wii Fit then put on my favourite jeans and lovely red tunic!
All topped off with a brand new (very) red lippie!!
Despite the rainy raininess of the day, I have been quite smiley!
Think the eating more carefully must be working as some of my clothes really are looking - dare I say it - a bit big!
Now, I think it was one this thread but forgive me if it wasn't, did I see someone say they had sold coke vouchers on ebay? I have soi much to learn - I didn't know you could do this. I bought some coke today - tescos own cola out of stock - and I have 2 vouchers for £5 of £20 spend on benefit cosmtics. Would these sell do you think?
Thanks0 -

tbh i doubt it. you only need to spend the price of a can of coke to get them as they are free to get the code off the website so you'd be looking at getting like 50p for them to undercut that and convince people to buy them from you. once ebay take their 10% it'd barely be worth you doing it, i doubt you'd make back the price diff between the tesco coke and normal stuff.0
