I agree - I love the jumper combo - nice shape that looks 'slimming".0 -

Oh Ok! HAve no idea about these thing but thought it would be better that spending money so I could use the voucher!!0 -

i was going to use them but the one thing i wanted was £19.50. i was so annoyed! its blatantly set up so you have to buy two things or the skincare that they're trying to push.0 -
I think the first one the shirt is really smart, but the jumper does look good as well, its just I think you would get more wear from the shirt as it can be worn under a jumper which can be taken off if need be but jumper you are stuck. For those who have no heat can you see if you can get a heater on freecycle maybe - we have kept the old gas fire in case CH goes ( its only been in 2 1/2 years so hopefully will not give trouble for a while, before that it was just the gas fire and house was so cold and also have a calar gas heater as well. I have found since having the CH my gas bills have gone right down, that old gas fire ate gas never mind burned it. We are on prepay - yes we could go on DD but hubby was a taxi driver for years and that way although costing more we didn't have big bills and got used to it and never once have we not been able to afford enough gas or electric even when he was unemployed, we were careful but never cold, mind you with prices going up and up I can see a lot more people being without heat in future no matter how they pay.
Thanks for the compliments of my hair - for years I wanted it long but was always to fine so kept it short. This length has taken me just under 3 years to grow, seems the good thing about menopause for me is hair has thickened and grows quickly. Lots of people were saying I should have it cut short as at 55 I should not be bothering with long hair, but I dreamed of having it so long I just cannot get it cut, maybe one day but not now.
I do have that very sensitive skin but usually only breaks out a few times a year and not normally in winter, usually summer when I get hot and sweaty and the salt dries face. No deformities thankfully or blemishes, skin is usually totally clear and I normally have a smooth complexion oh apart from one tiny scar on nose from Chicken pox when I was 15 but hardly noticeable to anyone but me.
One of my sisters was the family beauty and the other one always been classed as pretty. They both have darker skin than me and one has jet black hair ( the beauty) the other dark brown, I am only one to take after my mums dad and have the red hair. I was the brainy one and was skinny till puberty then wasn't overweight but big built so never looked to me really slim, although I know I was. I am very low busted as well so that tends to make me look more dumpy although the plus side of that is I can wear top that are low cut and not show anything off at all, if it was low enough cut to show anything on me it wouldn't have a front at all
I have got high cheekbones which are so far keeping the wrinkles at bay and have nice shaped ankles- both things my sisters are jealous of as both of them have wrinkles already and they have straight ankles but my mum when she died at 81 still didn't have a wrinkle on her face and looked in her 50's. In fact most people think I am in my 30's and at my dads funeral last summer a few people who had come to pay their respects who didn't know his children but knew about us thought I was the youngest sister ( she is 11 years younger than me). I do have small mouth and lips though - for the size of mouth lips suit it but its to small for my face hence me buying the stuff to try and plump them up, I think it menthol based as feels cold and tingly when on and lips do look a tad bigger.
I know I am sounding vain writing this all down, but trying to make me believe my pluses.
I love the way you put my stage career, that sounds so glamorous.
At the moment I daren't look in mirror as face is to blotchy and swollen at sides of chin so looks not very nice.
Had to put hair up to have a bath so curls not quite as curly but still looks ok, got to admit I never thought I would ever have a hairstyle like this I do love it.

this week has flown past and im glad to be feeling A1 again and have several rostered days off. attended wri (scottish version of wi probably) and caught up with some friends + acquaintances. managed to fit in some shopping on fri afternoon having popped into work for a staff meeting. 2 new tops and 2 pairs of trousers in m & s sale for £10. In Boots managed to avoid buying cosmetics/toiletries but treated myself to bikini for £2 but paid with points card. lots more fabbing to be done before bikini can go on:rotfl:Teamwork means.......never having to take all the blame yourself0

prepareathome Not vain at all.......we are so conditioned to list our "flaws" aka the bits that don't comply to the media's version of "beauty" we stop looking at our plus points. Your hair is stunning BTW
With that in mind shall we all post a list of our best features, regardless of our size, weight or age? i will start the ball rolling
I have naturally blonde hair. its a mix of colours and in the summer it gets even lighter. I was constantly asked when younger if I bleached it. People pay a lot of money to have hair colour the same as mine and I don't have a single grey hair in it, eve at 36.
I have lovely blue eyes. Someone once asked me if they were coloured contacts which of course they are not.
I have great swimmers shoulders and have been always blessed with a relatively spot free back I really ought to dare to bear that part of me :rotfl:
Boobs.....whilst no longer pert as they used to be they are a good size, not too big not too small.
Bum. The one area of my anatomy I have never ever worried about. Mostly because when I am slimmer I don't have one, being an apple i have quite flat bum. Because I am 2 stone heavier than I need to be I do have an @rse and its nice to fill trousers for once
No saddlebags. the curse of many women is not mine. I end up with little flappy bits at the sides of ladies trousers as they tend to be cut to accommodate a bit of extra on the side.
Legs. My best feature apparently. have a nice shape even though I am not as slim as I want to be.
Feet. Doing ballet from a young age has impacted my feet a little but not totally ruined them. I don't have lots of hard skin on my heels etc and i think I have nice shaped toes that look fab when painted in a funky colour.
so there you have it. anyone else going to list their attributes? Might as well blow your own trumpet as no one else will do it for youI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
Morning ladies - I have woken up feeling decidely unfab - feel flabby after a week of poor eating due to being sooo busy, pale and tired.:(
I need to rectify this ASAP as I was making so much progress with your help so today is the day to rejuvenate me!
The plan....- Walk the dog in the fresh air this morning to blow away the cobwebs
- Have a shower and do hair and make up
- Do the face scrub I couldn't be bothered to do last night
- Go to Mr T's to do the shopping and buy lots of good for you food - plenty of nice F&V
- Wear something casual but smart - maybe a new top I bought last week and smarter jeans
- Do another coat of the gradual tanner that I started last night
- File nails
- Go to the library to get a new book and maybe have a look at the Health and Beauty section for inspiration
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -

Hmmm - the way I feel this morning it may take a while to find something positive...
Will have a think and post up what will be a short list later!0 -
Oooohhhh now I have heating I am happy to share some positives :j
- I have lovely cheekbones, a smattering of freckles and have always been blessed with blemish free skin.
- Seemingly I also have a dancers neck?
- My legs and slim and shapely and I have nicely turned ankles
.
- One of my favourite features is my hair which is healthy, shiny and suits various hairstyles.
- I have curves in all the right places
As I mentioned we now have heat and after days of quick washes and no pampering I am about to go and get back on track by running a piping hot bath and scrubbing myself until I am back to my shiny bestTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0
